Anyone else have this problem?

By majikforce, in X-Wing

Maybe I'm just cursed but i have bought 7 expansion packs so far. 5 online and 2 at a store. These transactions took place months apart and both times one of the packs were missing the plastic pegs. Now FFG was great at getting me the missing pieces but it seems like a "one in a million" type of thing. Or am I the chosen one?? Just wondering what other peoples experiences are. Cheers.

That hasn't happened to me yet and you can see my ship list in my signature.

I have never had a missing peg, and I have about 2x as many ships than Lappen. So it probably happens infrequently.

But I have had a couple of pegs break off and get stuck in the base of the model. It's very annoying and I haven't fixed them yet, or modded them.

I've never had anything wrong happen with my ships, save for one TIE Bomber wing that wasn't glued on securely. It didn't come off in shipping, but as I was trying to put the ship on a base. A little superglue and it was good as new.

Oh, I did have one A-wing where the base where the peg plugs in is angled 45 degrees. I also haven't fixed that yet. I never use all my bases at once so it hasn't been an issue.

I've never run into that problem.

I have purchased tons of ships. I have always had all my pegs.

I've bought 3 expansions and was missing the small part for the manoeuvre dial in one of them. Otherwise they've been perfect.

17 ships and the only one I have that was missing a peg was a B-Wing...the only one that NEEDED 2.

FFG was awesome

I currently have 26 ships in my collection and no missing pegs. I'd say you're just a missing peg magnet.

I only use 1 peg on my ships, except B wings, which are modified to spin sideways as well, but I don't think FFG would mind sending you a couple more.. perhaps there was a shortage on a run and it wasn't noticed in time to correct it.. or the company manufacturing it didn't catch it and figured it was an easy fix.. no need to open packs that might have been numerous..

I own 45 ships and the only missing or broken thing I ever had was a TIE advanced wing that fell off shortly after opening it and was easily glued back on

a couple of the small pegs have cracked over time but since I don't really have a reason to have all 45 ships all on stands simultaneously it isn't an issue

35 blister pack ships so far, and believe it or not, I think I got your missing pegs! I've had two ships come with a third peg in the pack.

I had a core set with only 3 pegs instead of 6. Raised a support ticket to FFG and they sent me 3 more no questions asked.

I have 2 cores, 2 of every small ship expansion, and 1 of every big ship. The only problem I've ever had is one X-Wing where the peg socket was installed a bit off-center. The post is perfectly vertical, as it should be, but the X-Wing's nose points about 15 degrees to the left, which is a bit odd, but doesn't bother me. I'm not very picky about that sort of thing.

Further proof I am the chosen one. Finally got a core set and was teaching my daughter to play when I noticed that one of my defense die is shaped very wrong! I have never seen a badly molded die but sure enough I got it! The face of one of the blank sides is much larger in surface area compared to the rest of the sides. Making for a sweet defense die. Rolls lots of evades! No wonder she beat me. Sorry I tried to include pics but having trouble. Help!

Yeah 2 core sets and 32 expansions and have yet to be missing a thing.

i though i broke a peg once, then after figuring out it wasnt broken, i thought the little peg insert on the ship was glued on wrong, so i tried another peg and it lined up right. turns out the peg was molded with the insert part at almost a 90 degree anlge so my ship looked like it was flying sideways.

I've had at least 3 extra sets of the plastic dial centers.

1 Core, 6 expansions including 1 large base ship. The worst I have experienced yet is the slot at the bottom of one X-Wing where the peg connects got a bit loose. I wiggled it out and used a dab of Gorilla Glue. Spent a good 20 minutes or so holding it in place to make sure it stayed on secure. I'm pretty sure that is now the most secure part of that miniature.

Got another core and 3 expansions coming soon, hopefully all the pegs are there.

I had a Hwk show up without a base or pegs, FFG sent mine on with a hand written note that said

Game On! -FFG CS - i have it on my wall, pretty cool of them to send it all the way to Japan for me :)

2.5 starter packs, 20 ship expansions and an extra dice pack and the only thing I was missing was the middle of the maneuver dial for my first Y wing. FFG CS was very responsive and sent one out right away. Over the other expansions, I have accumulated extras now.

I must say FFG was totally awesome in getting me my missing parts. Great customer service.

Here are some pictures of the mutant Die. Enjoy! (look out for me at tournaments :P )
