Most excited about...?

By mazz0, in X-Wing

Well, Imperial Aces, Rebel Transport, Tantive, Wave 4 - we haven't had this much to look forward to for a while have we? In fact, we haven't had this much to look forward to before, period! So what are y'all most excited about?

For me, I dunno. Things from the films interest me most, so Wave 4 is probably last, although new upgrades are always fun... The Tantive looks great, but then the Transport comes with new X Wing pilots. And the Aces looks sweet and come with cool new upgrades and pilots...

I am most excited about the re-paints and re-trims the X-Wing community does.

FFG does a fantastic job with ship detail, out of the box paint and game mechanics; However, it is the after market work, what the players and collectors do, that make it worth coming back after each wave... well at least for me it is.

Wave 4 for sure. Huge ships are cool and I will probably get them but they are not a priority as I don't get to play the standard nearly as much as I would like and don't really have time for 2 game formats. Aces are cool but they are just new pilots and upgrades for ships I already have so it's not completely "new". Wave 4 is 4 brand spanking new ships hot of the assembly line that will increase build options exponentially. And as a big fan of the EU I love all 4 Ships and I cant wait for them.

I am eagerly anticipating the massive ships, but the fact that they just announced only EU ships for Wave 4 means that they are finally diving into that realm, instead of just teasing us with the Moldy Crow. Very exciting. (And I wonder when we'll see more bounty hunter and smuggler vessels, like the IG-2000 and the Outrider.)

Of the Wave 4 ships, I am torn between the raw power of the TIE Defender and the stealth of the TIE Phantom. Either way, Empire for the win!

I'm most excited for the Rebel Transport. Not because of the X-Wing pilots, but because of the Transport itself. This seems perfectly in my bailiwick. I need to know a bit more about how it moves and operates, but I have high hopes that I can turn this craft into a serious threat.

E-Wiiiiiiiiiiing!

Honestly? Tantive IV. Ever since the first time I saw it streaking away from the Star Destroyer on the big screen (pardon me while I date myself a bit) I've LOVED that ship.

Can you say Defender and Phantom.... ohhhh yeaaaaaah.... :D

Lol, you've got me beat. I wasn't able to see it until '79 when they showed it on post in Germany in English. Army brats sometimes get lucky.

I can't pin it Down to one thing, FFG came through on everything. I'm a 95% Imp player and I must say I'm stoked about the Ewing.i need 4 tants, 4 transports & 4 of each wave 4 ASAP lol.

I have been waiting for TIE defenders since forever

I am interested in the new Phantom most of all. I do, however think all the new stuff is awesome.

I was a Navy brat, we went on leave... from Iceland.. to Virginia to see my Aunt, saw it stateside then..

Also.. kinda liking the E wing, and Z95.. they have some really good potential in my opinion.. just need another Imperial with a sensors slot for AS.. lol.. I forsee this game being a better one ...

I am excited about getting the E-Wing sometime in December of 2015!

I'm most excited about the E-wing pack. Not necessarily the E-wing itself, though it looks really cool, especially A'baht. But between the new Astromechs, new Torpedo, and new Elite Talent, it will likely have the biggest impact on the X-wing and Y-wing. New ships are great, but playing your old ships is new ways is also very fun. R7-T1 is already crazy with various pilots. Can't wait to see what the R7, Outmaneuver, and Flechette Torpedoes do.

I can't tell which particular set I'm most excited about, but if I had to choose it probably would be the Z-95 Headhunter. I never fancied these super-advanced fighters, and huge ships are great but... well, Headhunter always looked cool to me, and I grew to love it even more after it become such a greate unit in SW:LCG. And of course the fact that one of it's pilots will be Airen Cracken, who in my consideration was always a kind of badass doesn't hurt either :P

The next thing I'm excited are named X-wing pilots from the transport - especially Tarn Mison (I'm wondering how good a micro-swarm of cheap named Rebel pilots would be).

And I hope for renaissance for astromechs - we're getting two with E-wing, hope some more are hiding in Transport Cards.

As far as Imperials goes, I don't much care, though I'm obviously buing both Aces and Wave 4 ships ;)

Tie defenders for my birthday and tie phantoms for xwingmas. It would be a terrible move by FFG not to have a wave drop in late nov- early december 2 years in a row.

I was actually born in '76. If we had seen it in '77 I wouldn't remember it. Believe it or not, I DO remember it it '79. I did have to ask my parents about the year, but I do remember the movie. Talk about forming your children early lol.

I honestly might never play Epic rules and never actually USE the Tantive IV, but the mini looks FANTASTIC!

I was six when it first came out, but I remember seeing it shortly after it was released. My birthday is in November, and we went to see it again that year because it was still in theaters.

What I look forward to most is Wave 4. As much as I love the new large scale ships, I want new fighters for my fleet so I can try new things with them.

Growing up I was lucky enough to have a pretty large collection of Xwing toys. I loved my B and Y wings, ATATs and all the rest. However the one thing my friend had that I never got was the Rebel Troop Transport. Love the design then and now, still think it looks the most like a real spaceship of all the StarWars vehicles. Cant wait to get my hands on it, and hoping it turns out to be fairly useful paired with a couple of Bwings....

I think its the transport for me. Between the ship, new paint x-wing, and more x-wing pilots, this is what I'm waiting on most.

As for when it all started, I was born in '75 and saw ANH at a drive-in late '77 or '78. That movie did stick around for a long time.

I'm actually most excited about the Headhunter, for two main reasons: Corran Horn as a possible pilot again (PS8 sounds right, he flew a headhunter on Coruscant), and dual-flight rebel teams. I am a huge fan of having multiple flights of ships in a single squad, and right now the only faction that can handle that is Imps. With the Headhunter, I can finally do rebel flights, either two full flights of 4, or (what I'll most likely run most often) a 3-ship flight of Rookie X-wings and a 3-ship flight of Bandit Z-95's.
