I speculate that wave 9 will be announced on FFG and someone will start a wave 10 speculation thread within moments, followed by another wave 10 idea thread. In all likelihood wave 10 will include Donald Duck shaped starships with Mickey Mouse upgrades, Huey, Duey and Lewy pilot cards and a C3-P0 deity crew card: roll 2 attack dice and ignore all hits saying "it wouldn't be proper".

back on topic, I bet at wave nine they made a crossover between star wars|trek|-gate, throwing together their combined uses cases of physics (wormholes, time travel, alternate dimensions/realities, ...) that wouldn't even be that far out of reach.

Wave 9 will be ships from the new movies, thats the safest speculation i think one can make. We will likely get more EU ships before and throughout, but my money would be on ships from the new movies at that point.

See, here's what pisses me off about even speculating about Wave 9... Wave 6 FINALLY made it to store shelves after being pushed back for 3 years, and now they are announcing Wave 9?!?! I still can't wrap my head around Wave 7 (with Jabba and a Rancor as pilots) and I have serious doubts that Wave 9 ever even comes out. Sure, we like the idea of Oola piloting a pleasure barge, but I'm predicting 7-8-9, so there for Wave 10 will drop before 9 ever does.

FFG, listen to this guy! I'm not sure if I'm joking or not. Podracing is one of the cooler things from Episode I and made for an awesome video game. If Wave 9 were podracers, I'd be okay with that.

However, if they bring out podracers, they'll also need to do a Wave 10 for Super Bombad Racing.
