Padma and Demon's Scourge

By Yoko Charming Fox, in UFS Rules Q & A

Ok here is the exact wording on both of the cards.

Padma

R: After you deal 3 or less damage to your opponent, your opponent loses 2 vitality.

Demon's Scourge

First F: Until the end of this turn, whenever your opponent loses vitality due to one of your other card effects, they lose and additional 1 vitality.

Would this cause and infinit combo after the first activation of Padma's R, or since Demon's Scourge say an additional 1 would its damage group in with Padma's ablity, so that I could not use Padma's R in respose to Demon's Scourge?

Thank you in advance.

I am hoping that there is no loop here because if Padma can win by going second and throwing a Deomon's Scourge and a mega spike, somthings going to get baned faster than I don't know what, and I was really wanting to play Padma.

No. It just makes your opponent lose one more vitality when they take vitality loss from an effect.

This is similar to *Twelve* not giving a Reversal infinite damage off his first R.

no, you cant respond to her response causing a vitality loss because its not technically dealing damage. only attacks can deal damage.

On top of everything else, Demon's Scourge adds 1 additional vitality loss so it's like Padma's R: makes them lose 3 vitality, rather than 2 and 1.

edit: also, vitality loss isn't quite the same thing as damage, otherwise Padma could just respond to herself.
