Do you put the card on the table to show you have taken this action?
Same goes for Expose, R2F2.
I sometimes use the random scenario tokens but Im guessing this isnt the official solution.

We just put the card on top of the actual ship (in the case of a Firespray we put it on the base).
Interesting. I could see that working on Ties and Falsons, but perhaps not on a B.
Mainly use Marksmanship with TenNumb!
We just use the green scenario tokens. Nobody complains.
I usually just place a focus token on the Marksmanship card. For R2-F2, I don't usually do anything special, I just remember it.
I use special tokens - several people now make both droid and pilot skill tokens, so I have a handful of each.
But yeah really anything will do, if you just make it clear "I'm using this to remind myself I used Marksmanship [or whatever]."
Nobody around here uses the critical hit tokens to mark actual critical hits, so we use them for Marksmanship.
That doesn't help with the others, but it's like it was made for Marksmanship
The only reason for the tokens really is to remind you of what actions you took. So anything that helps you remember what you did is good.
I painted the edges of my tokens using Sharpie paint pens. I painted "normal" focus tokens in green edges and painted a few of my focus tokens with yellow edges to use for Marksmanship or other special focus-type actions.

I think we have a winner

That's exactly what I do, although I do also use the Crit tokens to signify R2-F2 and Expose. They really have no other purpose IMO.

I beg to differ. I think it is important to place the crit hit token next to the ship base if the crit is something than has ongoing effects. It is too easy to forget that there is something you need to do each turn when there is just a face-up card on the ship card.

This is exactly what we do. However, after reading Lappenlocker's post above, though, I'm beginning to see the logic in actually using the Crit Tokens for what they're for. Don't know how many times an effect has been forgotten when it's just been the face-up card off to the side to remind us.
I've tried with the crypt tokens on the table, and never found them helpful. If an opponent requests that I use them I will, but out local area universally ignores them.

Well, duh. We are all dead here. But what about the crit tokens?

LOL. I don't always post from my phone, but when I do I prefer to have autocorrect errors!
It is odd that they printed Focus, Evade, Target Lock & Bomb-drop tokens but didn't think to have similar card punch-out tokens for upgrade cards that provide a unique action, similar I assume to the new cloaking token in the Tie Phantom in Wave 4
Edited by Mace WinduI just place the marksmanship card next to the ship as the critical hit tokens should be used for critical hits otherwise it gets confusing when people forget to take them off.
Yeah surprisingly they didn't come up with anything for any kind of pilot skill/upgrade action, droid action, barrel roll, etc.
Granted, barrel roll is less necessary, but I have definitely seen people on occasion move their ship, do a barrel roll, go on and move other ships, then look back and think for a moment they forgot to give that ship an action and go to give it a focus or evade or whatever in a friendly game. Seeing as how there is an action icon for a roll, and every other action on a ship's bar has an icon, I'm still surprised it didn't get one you could either use or not.
I use the cirtical hit tokens that serve no other purpose in the game to represent special actions from upgrades. If I don't have any of those handy, then the green hexagon tokens from the missions in the core set also work well

For EPT or astromech actions worth remembering (like R2-F2) I experiment with using a shield token next to the ship. They are not placed on the pilot card. So they are impossible to confuse with a shield. In theory. Seems to work so far.
I'd prefer to use an entirely new token to eliminate any risk of confusion.
Crit tokens are needed for the intended purpose. Depending on the actual effect. Direct hit does not require a token.
Possibly ... just an idea here, as I know many of us don't use crit tokens for their assigned purpose.. maybe take a stencil and place a bright colored M on it for marksman.. I may do this, but I have never used the ability yet.. but with rwcent conversations I may be using it sooo.. just an idea..
I know some acrylic tokens have been made for these actions, but I don't always have the spare cash for such purposes, so I can improvise..
There are also some of the random objective markers that come with some of the sets, which work just fine. One of them has the Mandalorian symbol - I've used that as an indicator before. Another one has the crossed blasters - I've used that for Marksmanship or Expose on occasion. Usually all you have to do at the start of the game is put one down, point to it, and say "I'm going to use that to represent [whatever] if that's ok."
