well guys as the title sais i need ure help to clarify me and my arch enemy what happen if u fly through an aestroid and not land on it !!!

i know if i land on it i cant fire and get stressed + no actions and i have to roll an attack die

but if i fly through it it sais i havbe to roll attack die and i cant chose actions but still fire my mate sais that only happens if u land on one now iam confused maybe the german rule book is on that page poorly translated i dont know and yeah sorry for my bad english but hope u understood my prob and can help me out here before the touarnements start at the 15.03.14 in our local store.

You got it right..

You can also check the FAQ it has all the updated rules and changes..

If your movement template went over one or more asteroids you would roll 1 red die for possible damage and forfeit your action phase (you don't actually get stressed as you could still use a free action if it was given to this ship to do an action). Note: no matter how many asteroid you go through in one move you still only roll 1 red die for damage.

If your base's final position was on top of an asteroid you would roll 1 red die for possible damage, forfeit your action phase and lose your attack for the round.

And just to specify, since it's a common point of confusion:

You "fly through" an asteroid only if your movement template overlaps the asteroid. You don not "fly" the ship along the template and check if the base would overlap as it moves, the ship effectively teleports. All that matters is the maneuver template itself and the ship's final position.

So if I am on a asteroid, can't do a action or attack, do I get the +1 defend dice since I'm on the asteroids?

Does that still count as firing through it?

If the closest points line-of-sight passes through the asteroid before hitting your ship, yes.

If not....

Worth noting as well that you can still take actions while your ship is on the rock. Hitting an obstacle means you lose your perform action step, but if you can get another action (Squad Leader, for example) nothing stops you from taking it.
