So me and my friend are playing this game when he "accidentally" causes a psychic phenomena (which are always nice). So what we got from the book was that we roll 1d100 from the psychic phenomena table for every 9 that we roll. We already think this is a harsh penalty for using your natural abilities, but then again, calling powers from the warp is about as unpredictable as it is dangerous (which is nice too). Then we say the talent "favoured by the warp" where you roll two dice on the psychic phenomena table and take the more favorable one. This then seems to us that we are using this whole thing wrong since you can obviously not do a 1d100 roll with one dice. Please help me, the warp is deadly and i like staying alive... which is always nice! I hate my life!
Psyker rolling a 9 question
Actually D100's Do exist. usually the size of a large marble or a golf ball.
Also, when it says to roll a d100 it just means roll your percentile dice, normally 2d10, but some of us do own and use d100's...
you forgot to mention that i rolled two 9s in a row....
yeah you did yanos... you jerk! Making us fall up and then **** near killing us. What I mean about the dice thing is if we roll a 9, do we roll d100 or what. I am confused as to how we calculate the phenomena on the table 6-2. I was wondering since our psyker yanos likes to roll high numbers like he is playing D&D, I was wondering if d100 is the correct thing or if not, then what do we roll when a phenomena is hitting. I swear yanos, the emperor must look down on you so badly... i have no idea how you ever got sanctioned on the black ship.
its not my fault you rolled a ten on your own dmg, i only took 5....
Wow! If you hadn't made us fly in the air because you have no idea how to use your own psychic powers, i wouldn't have had to roll for damage i sustained from it. And thankfully we were in a room with low ceilings. I am taking your sanctioning brand and wiping my own butt with it, its about as meaningful. They should have made you become one with the emperor. I am telling the Inquistor your actually a heretic and that I should terminate you before you start to corrupt us all.
who cares, im dead anyway...
Favoured by the warp only kicks in after you've already rolled your 9(s). Then for each 9 you rolled, you roll on the psychic phenomena table twice. For each pair of rolls, you pick the one you like best.
We already think this is a harsh penalty for using your natural abilities, but then again, calling powers from the warp is about as unpredictable as it is dangerous (which is nice too).
Considering that psyker powers inflict no fatigue, drain no wounds, don't need any mana and require no spell slots, the Psychic Phenomena are the only thing keeping them in check.
@Topic
You got it right the first time. For every 9 rolled, roll 1D100 and use the phenomenon rolled. With the Favoured of the Warp, roll 1d100 two times and take the result you like better.
hehe and if you get a d100, reserve a good 20 minutes for that sum bitz to stop rolling around....and woe to thee that bumps the table!

Seriously. Our party psyker is just nearing getting her first discipline power, and I am scared. It's either going to be telepathy or divination... this is going to make life hard.
I dodge getting possess by a daemon and becoming a daemon host last night....
Needless to say I'm glad I took resist possession.
Perils of the Warp are pretty nasty. I must have rolled 30 nines last night. The dice were not in my favor.
Also keep in mind everytime you have to roll on the Perils of the Warp table you automatically gave a corruption point. In addition to whatever ones you gain from the result.
Being a psyker is dancing on the edge of death. You can die at the drop of a hat. Its kinda fun though but i been fortunate enough to not only never roll 9, but also always do my threshold. I appreciate the help, im going to try this psyker thing out and hope i dont completely mess everything up... which i probably will anyways
It kills me.
My party wants to be healed by my Seal Wounds pyschic power but they stand as far as they can away from me in case I roll Perils of the Warp?!!!!
WTF is up with that?!!!
Psykers get no love.....

Course not. You could theoretically be trying to seal their wounds but really you could be just opening them up to possession. Seems fair.
I agree with jonas, their is some psyker racism going on here. So we open the warp a few times and cause phenomenas to appear, is that so bad? Tell you what, when my spasm causes the enemy to shoot the guy next to him and kill him, everyone loves me. We should start a psykers anonymous so we can sit indian style in a circle and talk about our problems.
Haha, our groups Psyker will freka you out big time, he's got it into his head that he's the Inquisitors favourite and group leader. My assassin gave hime a funny look when he saw his sanctioning brand, the psyker took it as a leadership challenge, took his knife and cut off his sanctioning brand (on his cheek). Still want a Psykers anonymous helpline? ^^
Hell no! Not with assassins cutting brands off peoples faces. Just further fuel to the growing problem in the calaxis sector of acolyte on psyker crime. We just want a peaceful coexistance with our adventuring companions. So the warp is a little untrained, but who doesn't enjoy the nice chill on a hot day or some blood weeping statues when you have clinics that need to fill their blood banks. It seems like a fair trade.
The hubris of a heretic.
Burn the witch!
I say to all the emo psykers out there in calixis... Cry more already I don't think the Emperor can hear you. But if it makes you feel better at night I have a teddy-glock for you to cuddle with when I purge the lot of you.
Its a sad world for me indeed. Here I go surviving the black ship only to be subjected to such a cruel fate
Well, fine block our misunderstood party member! He's a nice guy really, cleans up the statues when they weep blood he does!

Don't worry I have 17 corruption points so give me a couple more sessions and I will be considered a heretic.
no lie, you gain corruption points like candy as a psyker. I fear 9's like a lictor
And the phenomena that comes associated with it.
