Questions for those of you who played the beta

By Hrathen, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Keep in mind that, if the AoR core book's Force rules are 1:1 with the beta book's, a Force Rating of 3 would also cost a lot of XP since you'd have to buy both Force specializations (FR 1) and the Force Rating talent (+1 each) in both.

It's a matter of perspective. When I first got into the game I thought 250 XP was a lot of XP. Now it doesn't seem like that much at all.

Not too much, really.

Emergent, it's a straight line down - 75+Entry

Exile, it's not a straight line - so it's 95+Entry.

So, assuming that you take them as trees 2 and 3... and noting that unlike the Universal, they aren't "in career" for any class to date, Force Rating 3 is only 30+40+75+95=240 points.

And the nearby dedications add 25 for Exile, and 45 for Emergent. 310 points to get +2 atts and FR 3.

(Mind you, fully completing a tree is 300+Entry)

The real expense is fleshing out the powers.

Yeah, Force Powers are where a lot of a Force-user's XP is going to be spent, particularly if you're looking to fully "master" a given power.

If you're willing to accept just being "pretty decent," much the way that Luke did by RotJ, then it's not so much per power... but you're still spending a decent chunk of XP for the breadth of powers that he made use of.

Well I think since we want to experience the Star Wars Universe. The Character we make in EofE should be played in Age and in the new one coming out. ' Force Destiny ' its the third in the series from what i understand. I play both EofE and Age I do own the Beta version of AGe and the box set for EofE. I also play X-Wing. I'm currently working on a campaign that can use both EofE, and Age. with X-Wing.The role play is going to be fine as long as my imagination carries it. I use X-wing for when we travel from one book to the other.

I see this series of game like the original movies IV, V, VI.

IV. ( A New Hope ) We meet Luke and Han,leia, Chewie,C-3P0 , R2-D2, and the rest ( EofE )

V. ( Empire Strikes Back ) We learn more of how the Rebellion is formed and used (AofR)

VI. ( Return of The Jedi ) We see how Luke uses his JEDI power for his ' Force Destiny' ( FD )

On another note I would love to work with designer at FFG for a more Land base Star Wars Base game like X-wing but with Walkers or land speeders or snow speeder. I've studied the Empires and Rebel Tactics in an old SW RPG .I find ways to make it better.
