AoR CRB announcement
Sweet can't wait for it.
I can't wait either!
I still believe that it won't be out until almost the end of the period that they're targeting, so probably late June.
My eyes! The goggles do nothing!
Seriously though the artwork looks very nice, can't wait to see more of it...
I've said it before...

[in the voice of a certain Kosh] "And so it begins ..."

Agreed.
Wow, I really like the cover art! The pic of the three walkers is great too. Can't wait for the book.
It's a good looking cover to be sure, and I'm looking forward to it as well.
Let's all be honest though, what we really want to know is, now that this is announced, when does the F&D beta start???
While I will be picking this up ASAP, my group probably wont move into it until August / September. Love the cover!
Once again it appears FFG is putting out yet another SOLID product.
This collection is going to look glorious side by side all the other FFG Star Wars books on my book shelf.
I've said it before...
"The avalanche has already started, it is too late for the pebbles to vote." --> Kosh
And thus the second rule-book that will float around my table will be acquired shortly...
I'm glad that they are keeping the rules-system the same between books (unlike the 40k series for example). We will end up with three basic rule books for reference while gaming, while having three separate splat books detailing different aspects of the universe at the same time. Handy! ![]()
Having read and digested the beta, I'm VERY pleased at how easy it will be to run both styles/games side by side (unlike say the WH40k or WoD lines).
Really looking forward to integrating this into our EoTE campaign
Especially as I doubt the PCs will grow naturally into the Rebellion ![]()
I am sort of surprised for Luke being on the cover. I had him pegged for Force and Destiny - instead I suppose it will be Vader and Kenobi, since the trend is for a new hope appearances.
Now... where is the announcement for Force and Destiny Beta?

Vader and Kenobi? Why not Yoda and Kenobi?

When millions of voices cry out in terror and suddenly go silent.
So. Do we expect an AoR adventure for FreeRPG day 2014? "The Shadow of Yavin" perhaps? ![]()
newbie question, why the different core rulebooks between Edge and Age? Is it because they are different time periods?
Different periods, different styles of games intended - as represented by their story mechanics: obligation and duty.
So one is intended to be the underdog in the galaxy (Edge) and the other to be the underdog in an ongoing ideological conflict (Age). The games are interchangeable, but they will offer different adventures, hooks, resources and tips for making a campaign within that game's focus. At least that's my interpretation and understanding.

Second, Vader and Kenobi were the only force users seen in the original, linking it thematically with the shown art.
Darth Vader is the one that supposedly was the chosen one, along with being the one who used the word destiny - which, while directed at Luke, I don't see FFG reusing characters for the cover art.
Finally using both Vader and Kenobi would reoresent good verdus evil.
I really wish Lando had made it onto a cover, but (Wookiee aside) it looks to be a white man's club again.

Does that mean wookiees are white under all that hair?

Wow. Got racism? Complaining about a demographics issue, insulting the editors, and then committing racism, and sexism, in a single sentence. It's like a bigot haiku....
Maybe the editors looked at Luke, Leia, and Lando (the 3 L's) in the context of Empire Strike Back, and decided hmmmmm young fresh faced idealists from poverty and privilege, unknowingly united by birth, separated by fate, and united again in common cause against galactic tyranny balanced against the cloud city administrator motivated by self interest engaging in underhanded opportunistic dealing, and then decided to judge them all by the content of their character and not the color of their skin. Cool idea I think, maybe you do to, you should Google it.......enjoy the ignore list.
