New set vs CC hack

By CHUBBS91, in UFS General Discussion

I was wonder if outa set 12 theres any cards that really hurt Olexa, BRT, or any of those other characters or cadrs that hack checks?

let me no here.

Chubbs go to THD and look at set 12 there has got too be at least half a dozen too CC hacks from set 12 .

Astaroth. That is all.

Willful.

Action. Fire/Air/Chaos.

Free Response: Before you fail a CC that was modified by your opponent, that check is successful. Discard this card from your card pool, then draw 1 card.

Second effect is a speed pump of 3 enhance for your next attack if your attack deals damage

Kinda good. No?

One card does not stop another card from being great.

BRT, Olexa, Akuma, and other cards are still perfectly playable.

Hoping for a Challenge kinda laughs at CC Hax too...

There is nothing but truth in this statement. While it does mean that said cards need to be a bit more careful, it certainly does not mean that it's worthless to run them.

Willful is better against those one shot decks that try to BRT your block, but hoping for a challenge will is better against people hacking foundations or otherthings that wont kill you to fail. Both are real good.

I am not saying their not good because they are just now there can be consequences unlike before 12 . As for willful I think it combos better with a big kill card when they try to BRT or what hack it .

None of the CC haxx cards seem like silver bullets. Haxx should still be a contender.

I would say characters like olexa and akuma are still awesome because their cost is low and they have secondary effects. BRT will also be played always stats are so good and card draw is always a plus . Forethought and anti K' are a different story they might be more likely too be phased out only time will tell.

Olexa = built in BRT and Lord of the Makai
Akuma = built in BRT and Psycho Style

Nerfing their haxx still doesn't prevent them from being top tier material.

Akuma is better then psycho since his ability has no limit and you get too commit as well but ya I agree Shane.

He was agreeing with you, Shane. =p

Yeah I know; I was just stating what they are.

Fire and evil seem to be more top teir symbols in this set. Although evil didn't need it in any sense, for fire its a well needed boost considering everything is a control war as it is. I really don't think the whole control war thing will stop because of so many cards that were printed in the past that made control what it is right now.

PhillyCheese, you are correct. More or less, Aggro was just put back into the game to add back that old flavor.

I think Willful is a pretty awesome card. Having said that, its weakness is that it'san Action Card that still needs to be played in order for its R to work proper-like. What do you do against an opponent with multiple BRTs out?

So, yea... Willful is good, but it's not the end-all-be-all savior vs CC Hax.

I think the fact that more attacks are worth runnning is anti-CC hax in itself. If you reveal an attack due to BRT (which can be more likely now), you'll draw that and not care if the attack you're playing fails, or you can pass it anyway because your check wouldn't have gone down so much. If it's Olexa style hacking which doesn't replace the card being hacked, then in an attacks' case, you're more likely to have another in your hand than before, so it's easier to bait out.

On the other hand, what CC hacking does do well, is stop a combo in it's tracks. If you're playing a deck surrounded around the Combo keyword, you should prepare against CC hacking as much as possible, which is possible with All, Void, Fire, Air, Death, Good, and especially Chaos (Destiny, Willful, Looking For a Challenge to name a few). This is the point where you should be more watchful of CC hackers.

Still forces them too use those BRT's on the same card so either way its a win win situation.

The anti CC stuff is good, but with the advent of a LOT of good, new viable decks, I believe that they are side board material at best.

Well, yes and no. If you're playing Feline Spike, and it's the only Feline Spike you have in hand...not so much...

Still the off chance you draw another feline spike you take into effect . Not too mention if they only have one BRT down will they risk using it thinking if you have willful its an auto pass.

I know...it becomes a chess game. Part of the reason i love this game so much!
