My Campaign Lead in.... THoughts.

By Atraangelis, in Game Masters

In my situation we played the Beginner box with the Pregenerated PC's

But i wish to continue the tale in "Long arm of the Hutt" but with our now Fuly Generated PC's

Thus i am starting my game a week out from the inital escape.

Premise:

A weeks time out of tattoine after the theft of the Kryt Fang the party find them selves as paid pasengers on smugglers transport as it jumps into the Ryloth system when they come across a yt-1300 adrift, sensors read sever internal damage and possible life support compromised.

OF course we must investigate...

THe party moves upon the transport only do discover a misty smoke filled livign area. A fight had taken place on board... Personal EVO suits are missing , and Trandosian and Weekway are found dead in the ship with blasters and a empty grenade harness. O2 levels are low, Atmosphere controls are off making it Zero-G in the ship and Cockpit and Engine room are severly damaged requiring the ship to dock. NO hyper drive is possible...

They discover the Slave Twylek and the rest of the foul discoveries as indicated in the module...

Story wise.. when the ship was taken, These two hid in the smugglers' hold of the ship while the PC's were busy dealing with ties and such.. Once they had let thier guard down after jumping from the tattoine system, they attacked form hiding with the intent to cripple the ship and kill the invaders.. Thus how our story .begins...

This allows the PC's to come across and own the krayt ...

THoughts...

That sounds good to me!

I had considered trying to do something to bridge the adventures of "Escape from Mos Schuuta/Long Arm of the Hutt" using pregens with our new campaign using handmade characters.

I think what you've come up with is an elegant way to do that!

Turn the atmospheric controls off, for funsies, have them explore about in zero gravity!

LOL.. done...

i approve! i might even steal that scene from you if i may, for use in my own game ;)

creepy and foreboding scenes are fun. don't forget the power of all the meta-cues you can employ to create tension for your players (not characters), like speaking at different volume levels, leaning forward over the table, calling for random perception checks (even when you know there is nothing there!)

Absolutely use it!! ;)
