Can anyone recommend a UK retailer? (Not Amazon!)

By MrDodger, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Amazon seem to have a problem getting FFG stuff. Suns of Fortune has been delayed AGAIN and they currently have no estimate.

Meanwhile it's all over ebay, but around £5 more than Amazon.

Does anyone have a good experience with getting FFG books in the UK they can recommend?

Cheers!

Thanks guys, but both more expensive than Amazon. (Spirit is £27.99 PLUS P&P!! That's not good!)

Amazon is £23.99, but when I ordered in Dec it was £19.10. It might just be worth waiting till they get it, it's not really urgent.

Thanks though :)

In case, consider Bookdepository.com; great prices and free shipping worldwide (so that, actually, I ditched Amazon to shop for FFG games with them)

Yes, I have an alert for Bookdepository. They don't currently have it in either.

Makes you wonder what the issue is with the bigger sellers not getting it in?

I use Leisure Games if I want to avoid Amazon but to be quite honest you will likely not find many/any gaming shops which are cheaper than Amazon can be.

I'd recommend GamesLore, they're very fast, usually two days delivery from order and very reasonably priced to boot.

+1 leisure games

I used GamesLore to get Enter the Unknown once Amazon became unsure if the book even existed. I've yet to receive an email reporting a second delay from Amazon regarding Suns, but once I do, I'll switch my order to GamesLore. Likely the same with Dangerous Covenants.

As musket_max said the delivery is very quick, and I use a BFPO. All told, including postage, it costs a bit more than Amazon, but not by much and the alternative is not getting the book at all. Amazon still has no date for Enter the Unknown.

Furthermore, though you may not need the book urgently, sometimes with RPG books, if you miss the window it costs a fortune to find the book later down the line. Hopefully FFG does more production runs than WotC did with some of their Star Wars titles.

Whereabouts do you live? You should check Esdevium or other online sources to find board game hobby shops in your area. Esdevium distribute FFG products UK wide to retailers before giving Amazon stock. You can check their website to find stores close to you that they provide stock for.

Highly recommend Gameslore. Each book so far, I have pre-ordered on Amazon, only to cancel and then order on day of release from Gameslore and then have it arrive within a couple of days.
