Jfitz and I played 2 games with the aces last night. He won both.

First was Aces vs. Aces where we both had Soontir w/ PTL, stealth, and targeting computer. I also had Carnor Jax with opportunist, stealth, and shields, and a scimitar with 2xhoming missles and seismic charges. He also had 2 royal guards with PTL and one had stealth, and 1 academy TIE.

Our Soontirs danced around each other while his other ships ganged up on my bomber. Carnor Jax took a crit early that negated his card text and opportunist, but he did destroy a royal guard. The bomber got a hit on the academy with the seismic, but was destroyed with all his missiles in their tubes. Finally his 3 remaining ships cornered my Soontir.

Next I flew Chewie with gunner and opportunist with Biggs and a rookie. Jfitz had 2 buzzsaw shuttles and Turr (can't remember upgrades). The boosting shuttles took me by surprise so they were able to block and destroy the x-wings pretty easily. Opportunist worked well against the shuttles since the usually boosted and didn't have a focus token. If you could get opportunist on someone with gunner and a fire control system that would be painful.

Overall Aces are a lot of fun and can lead to some exciting combinations.

Anyone wanna play Saturday? I'll be at the store running the Game of Thrones Store Champs, but will be doing nothing most of the day. Ill be available from 12pm until whenever that is over, probably around 6-7pm.

The store usually has major tournaments (for all games depending on the weekend) on Saturdays, so typically they prefer not to have leagues then. Thats' not to say its impossible, just a bit unlikely. That said, i'm sure there are some folks here who would love to play Saturdays, even if it didn't count for the league.

Anyone interested in doing a recreation of the tunnel run from the battle of endor death star two? i'd love to do this during a league night.
