Tetran Cowall

By Takeda, in X-Wing

First off,I'm sorry if this has already been covered. If you choose to use his ability to do a 1 flip does that give him a stress token? Being that the Int doesn't have that move listed?

Yep, the rules for the original K-Turn selected apply per stress, you are just changing the length of the turn.

Well you reveal a red maneuver so it doesn't matter what the speed is. It's still going to be a red maneuver. So yes, it does still get a stress token.

curse you, Ninjapete!

If Tetran Cowall were to somehow acquire an R2 Astromech, would that clear the stress from his 1 koiogran?

Still a sweet ability stress or not!

It is one of the better abilities. On first glance, it looks a bit meh, but the options it opens for turning whilst either evading an opponent or getting in a shot are great.

The other advantage is obviously when your original track gets blocked.

Third, if you combine it with the EPT, Adreniline Rush, you can pull a very spiffy move once per game.

It should.

Just to elaborate on this a bit (I think they call this a "teachable moment" :) )

A maneuver has 3 components: Bearing, Speed, and Difficulty. Bearing is Straight, Left Bank, Right Turn, K-turn, etc. Speed is, well, speed - 1 through 5. Difficulty is red, green, or white. Abilities which modify one component of the maneuver don't do anything to change the other two, so an R2 Astromech that changes the difficulty to green doesn't affect the speed or bearing. Cowell changes the speed, but does nothing to the bearing (it's still a K-turn) or difficulty (it's still red).

This is distinctly different than abilities like Boba Fett or the Navigator, who rotate to a new selection on the dial. That changes the entire maneuver.
