Hi all,

As a mtg card player and game store owner and now I love xwing, I was wondering if anyone has thought about a playmat for your cards? I have been kicking around the idea of making one for myself but not sure if others have thought about it?

I was thinking a standard mat with a spot for your pilot card, upgrades & damage maybe shields too? Another idea was a long 3' mat that is 6"-8" tall. Then it is on the edge of the play space.

Any thoughts? Good idea or dumb?

Some mats that I have seen a bit bigger than the 3'x3' play area and include a strip of about 6" for playing cards and tokens to be laid upon. Although realistically it's not a big deal since you're not manipulating the cards like you are in MtG and other card games.
