so is it just me or have the aces been on the ship for 8 weeks?

just wondering if my counting is off

Well I haven't been checking for that long so I couldn't tell ya. 8 weeks though makes me sad in my heartmeats.

Actually, 8 weeks is just about right. It takes a few weeks to actually cross the ocean, then it takes a month or so to get through customs. Then it needs to get sent to various distribution points, be checked for issues, and prepped. Don't forget, Chinese New Years was in there to maul many timelines and critical communications. Finally, the stuff needs to be shipped from distribution points to more distribution points before it goes to the stores.

My understanding is we should see them in the next couple weeks IF nothing went wrong in the above process. Relax, they will be in your hooves soon enough.

Shipping massive crates full of stuff takes longer than sending a single item by mail. :)

Another note...When the ships come in to port they always have to file in a que to customs. The ships containing perishable items (such as fruit) always jump to the front of the que. So delays in our aces shipment can also be attributed to the amount of perishable items (which is increased during the winter time due to the lack of fruits/veggies being produced state side).

It sounds like you would be a person who could file the Aces crate as perishable.

Well I think one Chinese cargo ship went down out in the Pacific....

No I remember them at the printer less than 8 weeks ago.

I just got a call from my buddy who helped hijack a vessel in the Bay of Aden, Somalia. After going trough the 5000 containers he confirmed the Imperial Aces where on board. We'll be holding an auction next week ;)

Way off. They've been on the boat about two weeks now

im checking every day to see if the status moves from on boat.

geuss the watch pot never boils thing is true.

its also messin with my concept of time...................

i think i would rather them not have that page to see whats coming until the **** things are off the ship, that way we know we are weeks from buying our stuff.

oh and.........MAKE MORE OF THE CRAP!!!! THAT WAY IT DOESNT SELL OUT SO **** FAST AND WE DONT HAVE TO WAIT A YEAR FOR THE REPRINTS!!!!!!!

So where do you guys see what is being shipped?

I'll have to get in touch with my store and make sure I get a copy

Speaking of that, I remember when Games Workshop was sending the, at the time, new Eldar Falcon tank model for Warhammer 40k to the US, the ship that was carrying them lost several cargo containers overboard in a storm. The entire shipment of Falcons were in those lost containers and now rest at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. It did delay the release of the kit here in the US IIRC.

Be a good find for a collector

Those Warhammer tank models would be precious artifacts that describe us and our political situation for the people 1000 years in the future. What a great way to mess up the minds of future generations ;)

No telling how long they've actually been in transit, but I think the Upcoming page changed to "On the Boat" about two weeks ago.

Anyone ever get the feeling that the only update the statuses like once a month? I have a hunch we'll be seeing the Imperial Aces much sooner than 6 weeks from now.

Here's hoping. I'm wondering if I'll even be able to get ahold of them when they do finally land stateside. It's weird, around here you can barely find the things at game shops, but the freakin' Barnes and Noble has multiples of every ship that currently exists just sitting in the middle of the store next to Star Wars Snap-Tite models and bobble heads.

It's like Imperial Aces and my Battlefoam order are in a race to see who can get to my house the slowest.

I'm still just planning on getting them for my birthday- September!

I mean, surely there couldn't be another winter vortex coming. Oh. Wait.
