information from Sensors?

By FreeXenon, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

There seems to be only 2 pages that talk about sensors and that is: pg 227 which talks about sensors and transponders directly, and p237 which talks about the scan action.

What information about ships do you think is gathered from passive and active sensors?

Passive Sensors

Currently, I am thinking passive sensors pick up the following:

Silhouette
Class
Speed
Heading
Active Sensors
Transponder (at close range)
I am thinking a ships' make and model can be determined from Active Sensors, but I could be swayed either way, and putting it there makes active sensor's more immediately useful.
Active Sensors
upon a successful check to activate and use active sensors they receive this additional info:
ship make and model
comms active or shields up

Scan

Scan gives the following info:

wpns
hull threshold
strain threshold
hull and strain dmg, mods
Other thoughts?

Without detail, passive sensors are ears, they 'hear' what something else gives off. So whatever a ship may be emitting is what a passive sensor would pick up. Active sensors are eyeballs using a flashlight in a dark room. You are aiming some form of energy at a target to illuminate it and then deciphering the shine.

That's the basic difference. The game difference has more to do with you giving yourself away imo, as opposed to what information you discern.

Good thoughts. I have made some adjustments to my work.

Thanks!
