Who else got in on a Gripmat?

By PS10, in X-Wing

Who has also taken the risk of getting the kickstarter Gripmats. Recent news is telling me that they are a bit delayed, due moving and a carcrash.

Anyone else that has info or something to share on this subject.

I still am super exited, and really hope it reduces the bumping and sliding and I that the print details are good.

Edit: Link does not seem to work, but if you google gripmat you'll find it.

link dont work ;(

will be waiting for the next HCD mat my self.. i mean the current one is great except for the printed design... HCD knows this as well as i have communicated with them as well as many others, and apparently they are waiting for the current ones to sell off before make a new one.. but even with the current design its still a pretty cool mat... worst case just flip the mat over and play on the black rubber side...

I'll buy another HCD mat as well. I was really impressed with the quality of it, and, as others have said, I like the mat, I just don't necessarily care for the design.

Use 2 of these from Home Depot. They aren't painted or pretty to start with, but can be made to look like space scenes with some paint to make a starfield. I cut down both ends to square them up and they make an awesome non-slip 36x36 playing surface and are a lot cheaper.

I was really tempted to back this except for the caveat that they can't make a single piece 3' x 3' mat (due to limitations with their printer).

yeah the not being able to make a seamless 3'x3' was a deal breaker for me as well..
