Han feels Blue

By Englishpete, in X-Wing

So, after another great set of games today flying pirate formation it's time to start thinking about Store Championships.

I think I am going to start practicing with a Han list, I hardly ever fly the Falcon, so perhaps I should start.

Han Solo, Chewbacca, Gunner, Millennium Falcon (56)

Blue Squadron (22)

Blue Squadron (22)

My one thought was to drop the Falcon card in favor of Veteran Instincts so Han really will shoot first.

A solid list.

Having all of your ships only have 1 Agility Die's going to bite you in the butt, though, as it maximizes your weakness.

That being said, Han ought to evade every turn: neither defensive action will work before and after the Gunner Strike.

I had thought of going old school with two Rookies with R2 units.

Han Solo, Gunner, Expert Handling, Millennium Falcon, Nien Numb, (55)

I don't like stacking the MF title on top of Expert Handling, 'cause it's too **** fun to barrel roll every turn and I forget to use my Evade.

That being said, I think I prefer the R5s on a Rookie.

R2s only help you get rid of stress, and the only way to GAIN stress on a Rookie is to Koiogran.

However, 2 Agility Dice are enough to ensure that Crits will happen to you, and R5 will flip 19/33 of the Damage Deck for you. (The 25 Ships, minus the 6 that flip themselves automatically).

I suppose I could drop the Falcon card and add Anti-Pursuit Lasers for fun.

Better off floating the points. The only way that people will run into you with APL is if they're bad pilots, or if its a lvl 8 or 9 with Veteran's Instinct.

APL on Han? while I enjoy the APL modification, doesn't it only effect 4 possible pilots when it's on Han?

Floating them is probably the best bet for initiative.

As for how to upgrade it. I am firmly in the camp that you alway take the Falcon Title and then Take the evade action every time too. Han+Gunner means you don't need take offensive actions. Vetran Insticts is nice, but not always nessisary.

If you are going to shave off an upgrade I would take off chewie.

Ugg I hate seeing that list. So much fire power... So many shields. None of those 3 ships is garunteed to go down round 2 of firing, and Han covers the Bwings blind spots so well.
