Kings of the Sea: KINGDOM CARDS

By Seanboy21, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hi all!

I got the expansion recently and with it a few Kingdom Cards (Bay of Ice, Kingdom of Shadows & Shivering Sea), now are these attachments, locations or something entirely different?

They are locations. The fact that they're Kingdoms doesn't change their card type though. Kingdom is a trait, for the card type generally the border is you best bet. For locations it should be that rough, stoney type border up at the top of the card.

Thanks Cwethan, its just that the borders aren't stoney but rather non-descript. That's what had me puzzled...

Actually, the background for locations is parchment (maps, presumably) and it extends all the way down the card for the kingdom locations. At least that's the idea.

Yea. It's just an art style they use on occasion. I'm not sure what prompts them to do it. I think a lot of the kingdom and cards that are meant to represent more than just a castle or something have that art style.

I guess they're maps.
