Species in Dangerous Covenants
Well, a lot of the species thrown around here make sense. My favorites would be:
1) Aqualish
2) Quarren
3) Besalisk
though I have to admit I just like the 'more alien' aliens.
How about the other books? There seems to be the general agreement here that we want a Hutt Space sourcebook (dear FFG social media marketing people: please consider this a thorough market analysis
). Maybe with Nikto, Klatoonian and Weequay, depending on which species end up in the Bounty Hunter career book.
Talking about career books: I'm really looking forward to Colonist, because so far - while playable - they are the least roguish. Can we please have Vratix? (Again, a really alien alien) They invented bakta so they kind of belong in the medical doctor sourcebook.
Edited by SpraugOut of curiosity a question struck me and that was what races do we have left that are movie canon?
Many. The cantina scene alone in Star Wars had lots. Throw the prequels in there. And what with the Chiss, Selonians and Drall showing up, they are not restricting the species to just the movies.
I feel like the retooled Jabba scene would have worked better had they replaced the stand-in actor with, say, a droid carrying a holocommunicator or something, but the communicator doesn't have video, just audio. Then you hear "deep scary Hutt voice" saying threatening things but don't see him. Would have made him a more threatening presence, really driving home what Han has to lose if he joins the Rebels and skips out on Jabba.
On topic, I'd love an official Besalisk stat block, especially if it's close to the one in the Unofficial Menagerie. Besalisk brawler? yes please!

True enough. Forgone conclusion we are getting Aqualish. I'd have to definitely go with Zabrak and Noghri for the other two I'd like to see.
Aren't the Noghri unknown until after the demise of Thrawn?

Pretty much, but the Chiss were too so that's not much of an indicator.
Well the Chiss have gone on to fame and fortune as one of the playable species in the MMO so they do have more visibilty than just Thrawn these days. You never know, especially having now seen Drall and Selonians.
