What size play area is used in epic play? I want to make a gaming table that has a 4’ x 6’ play area for epic play but need to know what size would be the minimum.

8'x14' should cover it...
I've been hearing about Epic Play a lot, thanks to the release of that Transport information. Does it even really exist yet? Is there an established ruleset for it?

Your guess is as good as mine.
Nobody outside FFG knows the answer.
Edited by dvorLooks like the new FFG tile kit will cover a 3’ x 4’ area so this could be a clue. In that case I will need two for a 4’x 6’ area If I go the tile route.

Starfield Tile Kit isn't there anymore, because it's status is now: "Buy now!"

Have you tried clicking tha "buy now" link? It takes you to the general web store for FFG where the tile kit cannot be found (not even in a "not yet released" status).
if i had to guess abut the tiles i would say its dead in the water... imagine the nightmare of trying to keep all the tiles from sliding around?? however neoprene tiles might work? but personally would rather have a mat that just rolls up... make it double sided

Far more likely that they simply included extra tiles for different aesthetic options. Or will include?
I hope they increase the play area, but I hope it becomes a rectangle since my dining room table can barely fit a 3 foot wide area with room for the cards as it is
.
Based upon the turning circle of the big ships, I'd say that the play area will be expanded to 4'x4' or 4'x6' to accommodate them.
Fricking zombie product. I suspect that's just a glitch - everything I've heard says the tile kit is deader than disco.
