Rebel Transport movement template.

We'll and if the massive ships are blowing up anything they run over, I suspect you'll start staying out of their way in a hurry.

Bumping is less of an issue if everything your template would touch is just removed from the board or whatever.

Yeah but what about things that might be touching the side of your ship? I'm sure you we all must have noticed that in this game ships seem to almost always be right on the edge of touching/bring in range. If that means certain death it's even more important, but you can't tell because your template sticks way out to the side of a banking big ship (which could potentially be overlapping half a dozen small ships).

yeah,
I don't understand how people think that having two bases will make it easier to transport than one large base.
You still have to transport the card insert which is, duh! duh! duh! bigger than the two plastic bases.

So after you've put the two bases in your storage, brilliant, where are you putting the massive card insert?

duh! duh! duh! bigger

Great rebuttal.

Because no one transports the rulebook, or anything, which the template could totally be tucked inside of...

<joke> I'll show you where I'll put it! </joke>

sorry couldn't resist!

I'm trying to figure out how big the Transport base token really is:

It's hard, because I think the image is distorted for the Transport after the turn. There, the bases don't appear square like they do from the starting position. But if I had to guess, I'd put the base token at around 7" X 3" (about 8" inches for the entire miniature). And, the token is flat. I need a 9" x 6" place to store the "Rules of Play", so I think I can manage the token. Regarding the Tantive IV? I'm guessing its token will be right at 9" (about 11" for the entire ship). Frankly, storing the ships themselves is going to prove to be more of a challenge than storing the bases or tokens. Personally, I think I'm going to end up keeping them and their associated pieces in the original box for storage.

BTW, the move template itself appears to be as long as the ship, so storing it is going to be problematic as well. And I bet the move template for the Tantive IV isn't the same as the one for the Transport. It seems like they need to cater to the length of the specific length of the ship to really facilitate graceful turns maneuvers.

Are those special bases? I thought it just used a pair of the large bases.

Yeah, it's pretty clearly the large ship bases in the images we've seen of it from the side sitting in the display cases, plus what looks like a movement 1 (small base) between them, making for a total base of 2x5 movement lengths
