To those who have bought things from the US, do you know the answer to the following:
I’m aware the limit for VAT is £15 but is this purely for the cost of the product so not taking into account postage?
I’m looking at the Litko range rulers and movement gauges and if I split them up I can get the rulers no bother but the Guages come to £15.20 so will be hit for VAT and a handling charge which really is a shame as it’s the difference between buying them or not..

Although relatively cheap, I ordered them a month ago and have still not received them!
I'll give it another couple of weeks then I think I will cancel and look around. My mate bought applied perspective ones off eBay and received a much better service.
I have ordered the fluro orange and green range template and custom transparent blue maneuver templates from Litko, they have taken about 3 weeks to make and about 1-2 weeks to ship (still waiting on them, shipped 22 JAN 14).
I have also ordered some tokens on the 01 JAN 14 from Corsec Engineering and i got them around the 28 JAN, they took about 1-2 weeks to arrive. I also ordered a fabric game mat from them on the 05 JAN and it is yet to be shipped...
I'm lucky in that i don't get taxed on these orders (think it's taxed at a higher $ figure) but the P&P can get quite pricy and really put me off buying, so i can feel your pain.
The Corsec tokens are nice, i like the size of the stress tokens and the florescent green tokens really stand out on the game mat. They require either paint or crayon to help the etching stand out, but it's a quick task and i don't mind putting in the effort.
The maneuver templates are quite nice and worth the dollars (pounds) spent (i have a clear set already), they wont bend or swell and will last longer than the cardboard templates.
Think of it as an investment to your enjoyment, just make sure you shop around for the best price and a product that you will be happy with (don't get a set that every time you look at you think "it's not as nice as the other set i was looking at")

I think the allowance is higher than £15, more like £22 or something. You can test this out using Amazon.com and putting things into your basket and checking postage, Amazon will the customs fees if they apply - quite a handy tool.
