New Project

By player669786, in Android: Netrunner Deck Building

I am starting a new project. I noticed that I was playing the same old thing over and over and over again. So I decided that I would build and refine a deck for each faction identity that utilizes at least one card I have never used before. The idea being to build decks and explore more of the many options that netrunner brings to the table. I am posting the first two decks in the hope that I might be able to refine them a bit before I play as I am not use to the identities. I am looking for good card interaction, as I said I want to explore some of the cards I have not played with before. Thanks for any help you can provide and I will try and make updates to this project as I go.

The goal of the following deck is to Have lower cost Agendas as I have trouble getting agendas scored and advance them somewhat quickly. I also wanted to explore the acquisition and removal of Bad Publicity.

This deck is full of cards I have never Played with before as I have never played a Wayland Deck. The ones I am most interested in are Elizabeth Mills, Veterans Program and Shipment from Kaguya.

Although this deck has lots of cards that I have played before I am trying out a number of new programs, Keyhole, Imp, Scheherazade, All the Caissa and one resource Freelance Coding Contract.

I played both these decks in a local tournament and did ok. I was able to flat line the runner in the first 3 turns of a game by putting a Neural Katana in front of R&D. I went Corp 2/3 and Runner 1/3, all were good games. I have now modified my deck to take advantage of some things that I have noticed. Please see below an let me know of any suggestion you’ll might have.

This deck work out well the first round but I thought adding something like test run would allow me to have a little more versatility in getting out the right breakers when I need them The reason the I took out Tool Box replacing it with Dinosaurus because Dinosaurus cost less and allowed me to host more programs, it was also hard to get Tool Box out.

So last night I was able to play 4 rounds as corp with my new deck on the 4 th game I made a quick chance to the deck removing two wood cutter cards replacing it with Ireress. This seemed to work a lot better for me but I am wondering if there is a better ICE that I can put in there with a lower cost. I am thinking Chimera or Burke Bugs. The other one that I never got out was SanSan but I think I will leave that one in there until the end of the next tournament. Just to not I did win 3 of the 4 games.

I didn’t play the runner but there are some cards I might add or remove to make that side better I discovered Key Hole and the Women in the Red Dress cards that can be very useful to me. So I removed the 1 R&D Interface and added 2 women in the red dress. I figure that going into this tournament I can very easily test this strategy out and then for the big tournament modify it one more time.

I am discovering it is nice to play your decks and refine them a bit before you move on to the next thing.

So here is the current Deck for Corp

Compromised Employee (1)

Weyland: You've only got 5 advancable ICE left. Switch to core Weyland and add more transaction operations for cash. Cut the Shipments and Commercializations for space.

Unless you have some way to dump money into protecting your agendas (Ash, Troubleshooter), you'll need to either win fast (Scorch) or find a way to clean up all that bad publicity.

Professor: You have Dino, Omni, Femme, Atman, Test Run; add Scavenge.

Cut Pawn. You only have 3 other Caissa.

If you must profit from ICE being rezzed, use Ice Analyzer and save the influence Compromised Employee is currently using up.

You need more MU unless you plan to constantly shuffle programs in and out (and if you do, there's Scavenge again).
