bacta tanks

Anti-septic properties would mean degradation wouldn't be microbial in origin at the very least. Its not going to get infected at the very least.

So its spoilage would be a product of it losing effectiveness over time/with use as its active chemicals under go reactions either naturally or as a result of exposure to light and air.

I'm going to side track for a moment. The fact that we have to have this conversation saddens me. There is no cost for a tank. There are no guidelines for how often you have to fill the tank. I don't believe there are even any guidelines that restrict putting a tank in a small freighter. Heck, as written it's hard to tell that a tank isn't included.

It frustrates me that FFG seems to enjoy handwaving things to GM's choice when having some guidence would be appreciated. Perhaps because I prefer a bit more crunch to my fluff. If a game gives rules to do something, especially something as important as healing, then give all of the rules for it. Give some guidelines on how much a normal tank would cost and how often it needs to be filled.

At least the only thing Bacta is good for is recovering crits and if your doctor is good enough you never have to worry about those. Stimpacks will take care of any normal injuries so bacta usage will be kept low.

Sorry for the minor rant. I look forward to reading more in this tread and using the thoughts here as guidelines in my game.

Thanks for saying that Jamwes, you descrived my frustation with some parts of this game. I just didn't want to say it, I rant enough in other threads.

:P

Our crew installed a bacta tank in our YT-1930 along with an Oil Bath (for the droid). We just lost some of our cargo holding since we had to install all the gear into our medical bay and remove some space that could be used for cargo. Good thing the YT-1930 has a lot of space.

The Oil Bath was judged to be the same cost and use as Bacta (except it only works for droids).
