Seems bizarre to me considering being right next to FFG, but can't seem to find anything. Anyone around here who plays? Am I missing something?

you are missing something. There is the Frozen North group on facebook. there are alot of us that play. A little deeper in the posts here and you will see a couple about Minnesota locations.

Yeah, looks like there was some stuff at Universe a while back, so I'll email them. The search only picked up one or two September/October events rather than anything that looked ongoing, didn't get any reply to my first thread, and when I went to the FFG center one guy was going to have an event there on the 9th, but they said there was no regular group, and I got similar answers from the two other stores I've been to.
well Universe has tourny just about every month, they just had one this last Saturday. I have heard grumbling of maybe a xwing Leauge starting up. BUt have not seen anything official.
You can always join up on Frozen, say your planning on heading to FFG, and i'm sure someone would jump on to meet and play (I would if it works out with plans).
Yeah, Universe had a tournament on Saturday. We had 16 players.
FFG is running a tournament on Feb. 9th.
We have a regular group starting at The Dork Den in Mankato, its right downtown on riverfront dr. CHeck out Mankato hobby Gaming group on Facebook. Monday night is our regular miniatures night but most other nights other than Tue and Fri are open for games too
