Hi, looking to start my players on Edge of the empire soon and am trying to give them the best roleplaying experience possible. Have sorted out scroll generator, character sheets, sound fx and background music and am now looking to create cards to go in with their character sheets with a picture of the piece of equpment and the abbilities or stats for the item eg Blaster pistol or heavy armour. I am doing this so although 2 players might have a blaster pistol they can have different models and get a feel for how their gear actually looks to themselves and other players. Has anyone done anything similar if there are any templates or am i best using a package to do these, if so which package would be best as i am not very good with computers.

I've slowly been working on such for months. Problem is the more I work on it the more I add house rules and it becomes more useless for others. Also, the art I've used is primarily from movie pictures/props. I'm not sure if it something I should be sharing much? There are some examples and a very old beta version created when I was first starting out here .

As a member of the First Imperial Detachment forum at whitearmor.net, the dented helmet forum, Jedi assembly, r2 builder's group, and some other collecting and prop communities, most, not all, people do not mind if you use pictures that were posted on forum's for non-profit fan made material. I have asked quite a few members of Jedi robe to use their images and explained it would be for the purpose of a SW RPG and that I would share their image electronically with my group. I have never been told that I couldn't, and were actually very happy to share their work with others. Same with the Mando merc group. Everyone I have dealt with were very excited that I was going to use their image/work in my RPG, and sometimes even their screen/character names. As long as you can give credit and you are not making money from it, I don't think it will be a problem. At most, they will ask you to remove the image.

I am by no means a legal expert, nor am I giving legal advice, I am only letting you know about my experiences with other members of the fan community.

Thanks for the comments. BUT, what I linked is an old rough draft. I'm up to over 33 pages now. I hope to replace what is there sometime with what I've been working on, but it's not complete. I think I'm going to stop at Core and not delve into the expansions except for possibly personal use. I don't want FFG upset at me since they are my favorite game company.
