Radiant Light

By dakyd23, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

My disciple has Radiant Light and I have been using it as cast it and then rest so next turn I can use it again next turn. My question is do monsters roll defense against it?

The card reads:

Roll 1 red power die. Each hero in your line of sight (including yourself) recovers the amount of ♥ rolled. Each monsterin your line of sight suffers your amount of ♥ rolled.

It doesnt say anything about defense die and me and my friends have been playing that way.

I understand and have been playing it as no defense roll happens. The monsters just take the beating.

Now can I do that and then use prayer of healing and then rest. All in the same turn?

As long as your hero doesn't spend more than two actions, he can do as many things as he can.

He still will be limited by his stamina and by the fact that some cards become spent when used.

So prayer of healing is not a skill or an ability? So it would not take an action to use it......correct?

It is a skill, but it doesn't have an arrow symbol on it, so it doesn't require spending an action to activate it.

The arrow symbol on cards should read as "Spend an action to do the following:"

Note that this is different than exhaust. Exhaust means that you turn the card to the side and can't use it again until it has been refreshed (which happens at the beginning of your next turn). It effectively means that you can only use it once per turn, but don't think of it only that way, because some of them can happen not during your turn.

Some skills/abilities don't require actions, but are exhausted, which means they only cost fatigue and don't cost actions. These can sometimes be used outside of your turn (depending on the triggering condition)

Some skills/abilities do require actions, but are not exhausted, which means they can be used for both of your actions if you have enough fatigue to spend. Since these require actions, they will only ever be used on your turn.

Some skills/abilities require actions and are exhausted, which means you can use it only as one of your actions, but not both.
