Ha ha, just kidding. It a picture of one of the props from the movies. Although it makes you wonder about it's scale. Probably be a 50,000 point game. Need a couple Mon Cal cruisers for the rebels.

One thing about a Star Destroyer miniature..... It aint., and that model is still probably to small for the game

bit big for a "miniature" although would look awesome as a playing surface!

It's definitely too small the blockade runner has to be able to fit nicely in it's hanger bay, that's not gonna happen at this props scale.

Yes that would be amazing.

Yep, it's no longer a mini, it's a stylish table.

We already have trouble with bumping and sliding on the GF9 mats... trying to keep the minis in the right locations on those sloped surfaces is going to be a pain. ;)

Actually, if FFG went with a progressive sliding scale, then that's still bigger than it would probably be. At 1:270 it would be about 19 feet. At 1:1000 (reasonable guess for sliding scale for ships that big) it would still be over 5 feet long.

The turrets would need to be able to shoot at something like range 20 to avoid having huge blind spots in the ship's defenses.

Awesome picture by the way.

Thanks for sharing the picture, every time I watch the movies (again) I rationally know these are models but my brain just overrides that notion and accepts it's a real spaceship anyway!

As every keeps going on about scale in relation to the big kits, don't forget about the cost both to ffg to make it but also to us gamers to be able to buy it. If they were any bigger, then we would be looking at a £200+ pricetag. We would be in forge world titan territory.

I think I've seen that model at the good old Science Museum of MN when the Star Wars exhibit was there. The sucky part was I didn't have a good camera at the time because it is a beautiful model.

I think that particular Star Destroyer is the Devastator. I can't be too sure as the pictures I saw were on some random Star Wars thread on the internet. I will try to find it.
