So the time has come for me to add some more ships. My budget allows for a firespray and shuttle, oh yes I will have a bison of my own.

I also want some more Tie Bombers and I have no A-wings currently.

My plan is to get 2 bombers (Bringing me to 3) and 3 A-wings (Also giving me 3)

Should that be 3 bombers and 2 a-wings? I think I like the idea of a 3 bomber list with some academy friends more than a 4 bomber list..

So basic question, would it be better to own 4 bombers and 2 a-wings or 3 of each?

I would probable go for the three of each. I currently have two of each, and really wish that I had another bomber, as I also think that three bombers plus same academies is a good list.

I would go 4 bombers and 2 A-wings. The exception being if you want PTL from A-wings, but then you could wait for the imperial aces to come out.

With 4 bombers you can field a good swarm for imperials and 2 A-wings are more than enough for a squad (they are flankers after all).

Sigh.... I have 7 bombers... but.. I got a good reason.. I am repainting some... lol.. I'm a nut when it comes to these ships, I have minimum of 4 each, except the larger ships.. and with each idea to repaint the numbers grow.. can you say 14 TIE fighters.. lol..

I'm unconvinced that the Jonus Bonus is worth two ships. I'm gonna stick to my pipe-dream of 5 Scimitars, each with a Proton Torpedo

I like the 5 bomber build myself, I just haven't had a chance to try it out.. I do dig the Jonus bonus though.. can't hurt having all those rerolls.. could make a huge difference in your alpha strike, or basically any missile/torp shots...

My thought is four Bombers, two A-Wings unless you really want/need those PtL upgrades before Aces comes out.

As someone who loves running A-Wings, I would say you need no more than two A-Wings.

A Wings gives u Push The Limit, so they may be ur priority. PTL has so many uses.

How much PTL in each pack? I was expecting 1 each and I am willing to admit that the desire for more of those is part of my decision.

BBBAA is meant to be very strong, thats what id play - im not a big fan of rebel swarms but i might be if the BBBAA squad is as good asive heard.

Woooo they are here so tonight I'll be sorting and storing. I have a question about the shuttle though. When I deploy the wings they don't seem to want to get to their full deployed position and I can see pressure on the top and bottom halves of the model. I am a bit disappointed as the shuttle is one of the iconic ships I wanted most as a kid.

Thoughts on fixing? Should I just ignore as it looks like the wings will be up when in play? It is still a beautiful ship, I am looking forward to my first match with it.

When you hear snaps that's when you stop. I had a similar thing happen myself but they go down.

The wings take a bit to break in. Just slowly and carefully open the wings until you hear a click. After a few times, this shouldn't be hard. Grip the wings near their base as you do so, just for that extra bit of safety.

4 ships is kind of the standard fleet, so if you don't want to mix ship-types, that's probably where you ought to stop.

The only ships I would NOT get 4-of (ideally) are

YT-1300. 2 will suffice.

Firespray-31. 2 will suffice, though 3 is awesome, assuming Stealth Device will eventually be purchasable elsewhere.

Tie Advanced. 4 is the most you can run in a fleet, and it's the 3rd or 4th most survivable ship in the game, but it's generally considered overcosted, underequippable, and generally underwhelming.

If you're on a budget or simply don't want to spend a ton on X-Wing, buying 1-2 of everything is fine. But you are limiting the number of very effective lists you can make.

The game was designed with the 4 of ship X type lists in mind, the point values show this to be true. Plus every small ship tends to have something that makes the 4 of Ship X list effective.
