Controller of Souls an Ultra-rare? REALLY? Was that necessary? All's only good answer to Olcadan's and it's an ultra-rare? Is it really healthy for the game that a symbol's ONLY answer to a card that commonly seen is an ultra-rare? I can't say that I'm eagerly awaiting dropping my hard earned money down the drain on a card that should've been common or (at the very worst) uncommon.

The thing is, I really doubt it's going to be a chase rare. Not only are ultras easier to pull this time around, let's face it, the card is good, but certainly not a card like people are screaming for like those Gnomes and Siegfried's Earth Divides...

So please stop crying, if you want a card that bad then you're going to have to go out and get it.

Yeah i agree I don't think it will be chase and with the upped SR ration it shouldn't be hard to get. I wasn't complaining I just want a set now and with the m being SR its gonna be a while XD

...just so you guys know, I have no interest in Controller of Souls, Raging Gnome, Siegfried's Earth Divide, and I doubt I'll care about Tira's super spinny death thingy.

I have yet to get any packs, but I assure you I will trade off any of those should I get some. Knight Breaker is Roundhouse Kick with a 3 check. THAT is a chase, people...

Vibrato eats that card alive. Potential 12 damage off a 4 difficulty and a 3 check? O. MY. GAWD.

I actually want Controller of Souls is one of 3 ultra rares I want, the other being Pseudo Soul-Edge and Alshain Najm. Guess who I want to build? The only other cards I desperately want are rares, which unfortunately with Midnight Launcher being a chase I will probably never see (I never had a playset of shoulder rush. ever.) but I think I could get No Forgiveness! and Atoning for His Wicked Deeds pretty easily...

This card should NOT have been an ultra, especially when every other answer is fairly easily accessable. Up until now, the rarest form of olcadon's negation that was put there to be olcadon's negation was Blinding rage, and you could get that by buying the Sagat starter.

My one big problem with owl face was that they did not provide answers to every symbol, and now 2 symbols that formerly had no ability to negate it have to shell out large sums of money and time to find this thing? Whatever guys, thanks a lot.

As a side note, I love set 12 and think it is here to fix the game, I just believe this attempt at mitigating owlface's effect on the format was very poorly executed.

@hatman: Build a burn deck? You don't need Vibrato... just front Zhao and use Ritual Magic. Every time you do one of her RFG effects, your opponent burns for 4. GG fast

Ways that All can deal with Owl Face:

Destroy it with Air Stampede

Antisocial something off Symbol into play as a response.

Destroy it with Begin Anew if you happen to be playing a character with Death.

Controller of Souls

Lock it down with Juli's Cannon Drill

If all they have in play for assets is Owlface - Still Dragon can get the job done.

When they play Owlface for the first time - Yoga Adept it away.

There is only 1 card on the entire list above that is set 12. How many more ways do you need one symbol to be able to deal with one card?

Olcadan's is awesome, but I think people are far overestimating just how awesome it is. Almost everytime a person has used Olcadan's against me, I read their visage of "crap, no matter what I give him it's decent enough to barely help me."

Also, as I said, Controller of Souls isn't nearly good enough to truly rack up in money. Judging from that cool site's shop, people don't want to build Algol (just look at the ultra rares. Of the few remaining, most are Algol's). Although I understand the need for this card surpasses Olcadan's (why is nobody mentioning Defender?), I highly doubt it's going to be chased like the cards I had mentioned.

I understand the decision to make the card a UR...I like there being a change to having some UR foundations back in the game....I mean not all of the them are busted by I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one or two...oh and AntiGoth....U better back of my Gnomes...already got my playset done....HAHAHA....HAHAHAHAHA...HAHA....(coughs)...If anything I will rep that card at Can Nats in spirit of you not being able to make it...but I still hope so...the Gamer Kilt Wearing Champion would be so cool...
