Ran out of strategy cards.

By Sails of Atlantis, in Age of Conan

Anyone else experience a game when you ran out of strategy cards? How does the bidding for Conan work if there isn't enough cards left for each player to draw one & bid?

In one of my 4 player games, during the 2nd Age of change, we bought out the strategy deck & the Hyperborea player still had a stack of gold left. When it came to the conan bid phase, we had to use whatever strategy cards were in our hands...(with Hyperborea holding half the deck)

I had to duplicate the strategy cards to avoid future occurrences of being strategy card resource blocked. :(

There were none in the discard pile to be reshuffled?

None. Zero. The entire deck was in the hands of the four players. The first age, Hyperborea used the yellow lotus & got good rolls on intrigue. Sprouted purple towers straight down the middle of the map. He went for the Road of Kings objective. We also had a good run of conan+court fates. During the first age of change, he spent a lot of gold building up his hand. When the second Age of change came, everyone else remembered what he did during the first age of change & went into a kind of mass panic buying mode.
