I've always been curious about picking up KH, but picking up another collectiable addiction is a little frightening.
Will the older sets of Kingdom Hearts ever go the Living Card Game route?

STUPID DOUBLE CLICKING MOUSE
no i dont think it will
I think you'd get better discussion if you described what a LCG is, and perhaps what you mean? Because I do not understand either.
LCG is a new format that Fantasy Flight is going to be doing with Call of Cthulu and A Game of Thrones where you buy predesigned sets of cards but not individual packs...then a new set is released every month or so.
The idea is to prevent Mr. Suitcase from being the only relevant person in tournament play.
For instance: if this were Magic were a LCG you would spend 40 bucks or so on a box set that would have a predermined set of cards from all colors.
Then next month they would release a "Sliver" set, where you buy a bunch of predetermined sliver cards
Then the next month they would release a "Thalid" set, where you buy a bunch of predetermined Thalid cards
etc.
A Game of Thrones LCG (L) I should probably get on the forums for that...and Dark Heresy...
Anyway, I understand you man, so I'm probably most qualified for answering your question.
I don't forsee the KH TCG becoming an LCG anytime soon, the deckbuilding process is too fluid to allow everything to be done in pre-determined sets, and the card sets are too limited to be sold in such a way.
However, if you're interested in the KH TCG, then hang around the forums for a bit and see what you can pick up. Heh, I live in England and can't acquire the cards too easily and I still play
Sorry but can you elaborate more? I need more info to answer correctly, but I think the answer is no anyways.
Based on your definition, most likely it won't ever... well not anytime soon...
FFG had delayed the last set many times... so I don't think they can do the opposite and put out many sets...
Oh okay I see what you're asking now. I don't beleive so for many of the same reasons. Plus, if they did that i think a few people would stop because I know personally my parents would not go for it.

I disagree, I think that when we reach the "end" of the japanese sets that a LCG would be great. FFG could produce sets that would fucntion almost like a starter. Imagine being able to buy a box that had specific player, friend, magic, heartless, and world cards. With the teasers we have received of KH3, you could expand and just have random keybladers fighting new and unique heartless (although Square Enix and Disney may have problems with that)
i could see them producing starter like boosters for future sets...like $7.99 for a set of 25 or something. But that takes the fun out of openning the packs with the cards (or the container)
To answer your question from a business perspective. No, they won't turn KH into am LCG because they don't have the rights to do so.
I Agree with roxas.
For those of you interested in lcgs, heres an outline straight from the proverbial horses mouth:

I myself am greatly interested in the game style, and I think a KH lcg would be great, though if ever it were to happen it would not be able to play like the current KH game in my opinion, as a release of cards so regularly would not work for the current game style. However, a new game style more suited to the lcg format would most certainly be intriguing...
