Game Chambers

By r2trooper, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I have 5 sets of dice total. In our games I set up 3 of them on my end of the table and 2 of them on the other end of the table.

Over the evening they'll get passed around between people so they're not organized anymore, but mainly I just like being able to have them in order when we start.

That, and being able to count them easily to know I haven't lost any. It makes me happy to see them all lined up, but I don't have any superstitions about high or low-rolling dice.

Is this game podcasted or live stream? Looks like it may be

Very nice setup indeed. My setup here in Reston isn't as impressive (I need a bigger house... lol), but I see as GM's we have similar ideas. For example, I placed my speakers under my gaming table and play Star Wars music and blaster sounds during combat using the Star Wars soundboard on starwars.com. I thought about doing the name cards, but decided instead to maximize space on my gaming table as it gets cluttered fast with dice, maps, miniatures, snacks, beverages, and gaming books. Per the dice issue, I just purchased something like ten sets so each player would have their own dice.

I'd be very interested to compare GM notes and ideas on adventures, rules, etc. if you are up for it.

My five players also say they enjoy my game and I'm always striving to make it better.

Oh... and we also keep 'minutes' write-ups of our sessions / games if anyone is interested.

I don't record or stream my games. I think most people would be bored with our off topic conversations that we always have. We also game for about 10 hours. I don't think anyone would listen for that long.

Thanks SemperSarge. If you would like to join in one day as a special guest star, let me know.

I did the name cards as we all had just met. We don't really use them that often anymore. It was great to have the players name, and their character name right there in front of me though to help learn them. I know what you mean about the table getting cluttered fast.

Feel free to check our Obsidian Portal page for more on my game. But, yeah, we will have to meet up, at least to check out each other's geek collections!
