EtU quick note

By Yivrael, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So I've actually read the book cover to cover (So I don't fall behind when Suns of Fortune drops) and here are two little things I noticed from my initial frenzied reading.

Archaeologist has the well rounded talent as low hanging fruit, cost of 5 exp allows a lot of customization. He can cover a lot of different roles and I just thought it was nice. Also I missed the K-9 Series hunting droid which seems pretty cool.

I actually like the book more now than when I first got it. I'm still not sure about the driver class but I'm warming up to the Big Game hunter. Love the archaeologist.

One of my players chose Big Game Hunter for a game we just started. He is super excited about it. He even took extra obligation and picked up the Hammer slugthrower. I think he's going to be even happier with his choice once we get into the 2nd episode of Beyond the Rim.

I thought Driver looked great.

I thought Big Game Hunter looked bland. :D

My next character is likely an Archaeologist (though Museum Worthy seems terrible - I can't see what it grants that a skill roll by itself doesn't).

One of my players just started a BGH last night. We'll see how it pans out, as my next adventures are Debts to Pay and Trouble Brewing, before hitting BtR.

(though Museum Worthy seems terrible - I can't see what it grants that a skill roll by itself doesn't).

I had considered tweaking that slightly to guarantee that an Archeologist will find [success] number of museum-worthy pieces when examining a dig site.

I always kind of wondered about Museum Worthy...it is a very costly and deep talent.

Also I missed the K-9 Series hunting droid which seems pretty cool.

Our combat-light doctor bought one as his personal attack dog. It's a bad@$$ and has come in very handy so far on Cholganna.

Yeah in my solo campaign I (rodian outlaw tech) am building one. I would have liked some FFG art in this droid.

Yeah that second pic is awesome.
