Join special guest, Sam Stewart, this Monday on the Order 66 Podcast!

By GM Chris, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Oh excellent, starship combat is a subject i'd love to hear more about. Looking forward to listening to this!

For those of us that missed it, when is it going to be posted up to listen to?

In a few hours would be a triumph result on your computer skill... ;-)

Any new interesting things mentioned about Starship Combat?

You guys can grab the podcast from your favorite podcast streaming service; I just typed in "Order 66" and it immediately found a podcast for me to not listen to. It's also the first dozen results in google if you get lost.

What are the audio options? Justin TV is blocked where I'm at and I would love to at least listen to it live.

It's a plain 'ole podcast Ahrimon. We DO record it live and broadcast it as we do (which some listeners really enjoy). But for most listeners - they catch it on the podcast feed.

You can find Order 66 on iTunes (or any podcast service), or simply download the MP3 file directly from our feed which is below (and in my signature).

Nothing hugely surprising.

We did get a final clarification that a pilot is not required to spend a Maneuver every round to "pilot the ship" or "it flies off out of control" (which some folks had the idea of). We got some more detailed clarifications on how vehicles move between very distant range bands that aren't in the book, currently. Also, how opposed Piloting checks to target specific Defense Zones interact with Gain the Advantage (they don't). ;)

The majority of this 3 and a half HOUR monstrosity of a show is a detailed blow-by-blow of the starship combat rules, how they work, what strategies and important things players need to consider, what GMs should consider when constructing a starship encounter - and then we cap it off with a LIVE starship encounter done on the fly with Sam Stewart and GM Dave as a pilot & gunner in a stolen modified Y-Wing, fending off a trio of Z-95s, so folks can see how it all works.

It was fun...good stuff.

The opposed Piloting check clarification was very useful.
