For those out there that believe one ffg game gives insight to the upcoming products in another game, hold onto your hats. IG-88 has just been announced in an upcoming force pack for SW:TCG. Speculate away.
Possibility of IG-88 a little more likely?
Or, get your hopes up when they start showing artwork of the IG-2000. That is a bit of a better indicator, since they love reusing art.
Personally, I hope not. There are other ships that could be brought in The Empire is not about bounty hunters.. Bob a Fetter is an iconic character of the series, and is in my opinion the only reason he was added in.. and why he was added in so early..
I can see this happening because the IG-88's, but not so sure about being in the next wave. You never know, it could happen. Personally I think that smugglers and bounty hunters should be hire-able to either side. They would have to add some new cards for the YT-1300 because all of the pilots were rebels, other than outer rim pilot.

I fully expect one day to have a special pack of pilot cards which allow this. Rebel Firespray pilots, imperial HWKs, and YTs.
I ESPECIALLY expect to see a Chewbacca Pilot for the Lamba Shuttle, with a Han Solo copilot, and the Tydirium title.

While Boba was certainly the only bounty hunter involved in the plot for any length of time, Vader did employ several bounty hunters. He even had them on his Imperial bridge. I just can't say that the Empire was not about bounty hunters.
I'm not sure if you could count Greedo as a bounty hunter, but he wasn't aligned with the empire anyways.
I know they used them, but realistically.. if you can apply that to a Sci Fi movie.. lol... the Empire is more that those 3 movies.. I feel people get caught up in the coolness of bounty hunters, I know I've played my fair share in RPGs.. the hunt for Skywalker and Solo was a special circumstance, and fueled solely on Vaders desires to get the job done in the most rapid fashion.. he was looking to circumvent the military and government red tape.. my opinion there... I just think there are other ships that are more important.
I remember in Star Wars minis, there was fringe faction, which you could add to any other faction, but that could easily upset game balance, it would have to be done very carefully. For instance, giving the rebels bombs, combined with ion, tips the scales too far their way. We must be cautious. I prefer a balanced game. When you get into throwing out units like crazy or power creep, that's the beginning of the end in my opinion, and that is a big part of what happened with Star Wars miniatures.
I wouldn't be surprised to see ships that are closely related to the movies although not featured in them. For example, IG88 was in the movies, so it is realistic to expect that his ship, although not on screen, was in the movie behind the scenes. Same goes for the other bounty hunters. Until Disney sets a definite list of what from the EU is canon and what is not (which they have said they are doing), its safer for FFG to go with ships that are in some way tied to the big screen.
Hope some of that makes sense.

This. We won't know anything for sure until FFG releases new information.
