Any sign of Suns of Fortune yet?

By Desslok, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Coolest blaster pistol, coolest slug thrower.

There's an autopistol slugthrower. Ranged Light, base Damage 4, but it has Auto-fire.

H-7 Equalizer Blaster is really awesome. Costs 1200 credits but comes with Superior. Ranged (Light) with Damage 7, Critical 2, Medium Range.

Any new weapon features? New weapon/armor attachements?

None that I've found.

Hmmmm, dual wielding auto pistols with auto fire...............

Any art work with the weapons that's decent?

I do have to say that I'm a little disappointed in the art used to depict the Corellian humans throughout the book. For a group that is supposed to be as "genetically and anatomically varied" as the rest of humanity (per the description in the book), there's a definite lack of non-white Corellians. In fact, there's only one that's questionably non-white that I could find in the book.

One man's gun porn, is another man's... Eh, whatever. There are line drawings of a few of them similar to the Core and Enter the Unknown, but nothing special.

Bah! Phooey! My FLGS has their boxes in but haven't unpacked anything yet. If they have it, it wont be until tomorrow at the earliest.

I just ordered Enter the Unknown mainly for the new starting PC ships.

Is there anything about the YG-4400 and Yt-1210 that stand out?

I don't consider either of them very attractive. Both are Speed 4, but otherwise very mediocre.

Can we get a list of all the ships please? Also, do the ships have accompanying pictures? I couldn't find what the yg-4400 looked like.

Any info on correllian engineering, corsec and centrepoint station?

Finally, any new beasts like correllian sand panthers?

Picking mine up tonight. *glee*

Lucky! I'm interested in the modular encounters - How many are there and can you give us an idea of what kinds of things they cover? The swoop race one that posted as an example was awesome.

There are nine of them:

Sabacc Game on the Row (a game with unexpected stakes)

Tunnel Delving (meeting the Selonians)

Hard Bargain (dangerous encounter at a Duros shop)

The Long Arm of the Law (say hello to CorSec)

Taming the Dragon (you've already seen this one)

A Quick Stopover (cantina, espionage, rampaging beast... GO!)

Beyond the Boiling Sea (catch a thief, then do what with him?)

Conical Six Summit (climb the mountain...on Centerpoint Station)

The Correlian Shuffle (a smuggling run)

Glad to see CorSec in here, are they in the book as adversary's?

CorSec appears with three or four (afb) sets of stats. How you use them is up to you.

I found a hidden gem in the Drall (the planet) section. One of the NPCs has a light blaster carbine that is a one-handed Ranged (Heavy) weapon. Damage is 8, Critical 3, Medium Range, Stun Setting. Unfortunately, since it's in an NPC stat block, there's no listing for Enc, HP, Cost, or Rarity.

Being one-handed seems strange to still be ranged(heavy).

Based on CB stats, it's just slightly under the regular carbine (3enc, 4hp, 850cr), and above the heavy pistol (2enc, 3hp, 700cr); so average them; I'd say 2enc (-1 for "light" & being one-handed), but only 2hp (for being slimmed down so far), and 750cr. Thoughts?

Amazon now has this available from 5 different sellers, though none of them are Prime eligible...

Got mine at my FLGS last night, have it sitting right here :)

Imagery for the ships is a little lacking...there is a picture of the front of what must be the SOROSUUB Seraph "Flash Speeder" with a couple of Corellians sitting on the nose, an image showing the MEV2 "Dug Digger" excavating walker and the A-19 "Iron Crawler" armored transport (APC) in the distance behind it. There is a hangar image with several variations of fighters, 2 of them are likely the LAF-250 and HLAF-500 starfighters used by CDF and CorSec. The YG-4400 looks a bit like two shipping containers side-by-side with a small cockpit on top in the center...a flying rectangular box is my best description. There are pictures of the Corvette (Blockade Runner) and the YT-1210 as well.

There are actually quite a few beast stat blocks for several of the included planets...Sand Panther's included. Carrion Spat, Murra, Spukami, and Wrix are other beasts native to Corellia propper. Not many accompanying pictures of said beasties though. Not being familiar with EU stuff, I hope we can find imagery on line somewhere...

For some reason that seems to be common amongst the FFG Star Wars books. Not enough illustrations when it counts of equipment, ships, and beasties. Thank god for wookieepedia, but I wish I didn't have to look there after viewing a sourcebook.

I noticed this too. It's strange.

Not to mention that having all that stuff in FFG quality art would be fantastic!

Wouldn't it though? My eyes would start drooling. :)

Amended post with descriptions of which vehicles got art...

Which begs the question then... how many ships are not shown?

I mostly wish they would label their illustrations. Like "Wayfarer class freighter" or "A Hutt crime lord"

Just something simple that a reader can associate to the text they are reading.

Absolutely. I mentioned this during the release of Enter the Unknown. So many vehicles with no way of knowing what is what.
