Heading to the gaming store with a co-worker and I am letting him choose my next ship. The three above shIp are the ones I am letting him choose from. What do you think he will pick? He has gaming experience.

has he played these ships?

If he has, I would say Hawk 290, unless you already have multiple. Otherwise the shuttle.

Are you Rebs or Imps? Or are you doing some sort of mixed squad game? Who gets to chose upgrades? If you get to chose I'd say he'd pick bomber. If he get's to choses I think he'll pick Lambda. If you are Rebs, I think he'll pick Hwk

So little to go off of that it is basically a shot in the dark.

You say he is has "gaming experience" but all that tells me is that he may be able to pick out the best and worst ship. It may even extend to the best/worst ship for you play style and maybe even your collection. Now even if he can pick the best and worst that doesn't tell us what he'll pick. If he really wants to make you better he picks the best or at least the ship that will give you the most education. Now if he wants to "keep you down" he picks the worst ship for you or at least the ship he has the least trouble dealing with.

Based on the choices I'm saying it will be Imperial and/or small. Of course the Bomber fits both of those descriptions so if I say that I couldn't be off more than one step.

Why not all three?

Lambda all the way, especially if you currently own at least one B-Wing.

there is no game based on his choice and he does not play. While i am primarily a rebel he as a very dark side.

No table gaming experience

Based on this information I stand behind my earlier TIE Bomber.

Alternatively: HWK because it is something unfamiliar and new (and may actually be the most interesting looking of the three.

Alternatively: Shuttle simply because it is the biggest.

Waiting to hear the verdict.

All 3 ships have loads of things going for them. Be happy with anything.

Well here is how the outing went, but it did not play out as I expected. When we walked in to the store I had all 3 ships brought to the counter where he inspected them. After a couple minutes he had them take the Lamba and put it back on the shelf( this ship was much too white for his taste. He spent a lot of time looking over the HWK. He loved the coloring and th guns under the nose...but in the end he gave into the Dark Side. I am now the prowed owner of a TIE Bomber.

Now I get it. Which ship you will purchase. I thought you were talking about which ship you will play with in a game against him. In that case the bomber is a great ship IMO and probably the easiest to use in any imperial build so you made out pretty good. The other 2 are good and even great but are a little harder to work into all builds. The bomber is great for carying secondary weapons and even makes a decent Tanky version of a Tie so its pretty easy to work in any build

I decided that after work I will be making a trip to the ol game shop for a shuttle myself. I was completely against it at first and now I have to have it...I reckon I will pick it up along with another B-Wing for my rebel fleet. The shuttle will be for the collector side of the game that I equally embrace!

Should have got 2 or 3.. lol.. one by itself isn't much, but 2 or 3, there is something there ..

That's how I feel about bombers

I don't always use bombers, but when I do, I prefer a bunch

With TIE Bombers it is hard to use just one. If you do you usually want it to be a named bomber either for Jonus's attack boost ability to secondary weapons or for Rymer's ability to alter how secondaries work. When used in generic form it seems that multiples are more interesting.

A single bomber is a useful tool in an 8 tie swarm. It's up against Backstabber or Dark Curse as a 16 drop.

Yet even in that situation I'd go with 2 or 3.. maybe some seismic charges just to give persuers something to think about..

True but in that situation you are looking at the Bomber more as some durable but less maneuverable TIE Fighter which I barely count as a bomber. Without anything else on it the Bomber simply fades away while Backstabber anyway is seen as a bigger threat even if it is easier to kill. I'm not sure how Dark Curse's survivability stacks up against the cheap Bomber but suspect they are close.

Sounds like another bomber is a must to run it well. After I beef up my rebel fleet i may need to pick another bomber up.
