Canadian looking to buy into X-Wing

By Thanoseid, in X-Wing

Hello, I am looking for advice from my fellow Canadian players out there. I live in a small town in the southern Ontario. I live a couple hours out from Toronto. I don't have many options as far as local stores go to buy from 1 of them who I will not mention on here I will not step foot in.

So where do you buy from online? I have looked into Miniaturemarket.com but the shipping on that is rediculous. for example the next order I want to place would be 5 small ships, 1 firespray and 2 boxes of the imperial aces. That would cost me 109 and change shipping is 40 bucks.

Can anyone link me a good place either Canadian or abroad that they shop at?

I'm in the US, so the only Canadian shop I know of is Starlit Citadel. I've heard good things about them, but have not personally used them.

If you're in southern ontario, you might be able to border hop for a bit.

I shop on nws.online.net. The shipping scales with how much you order. I've ordered twice and the shipments arrived within a couple of weeks. You can modify your order to see how the shipping changes with your quantity. I ordered a firespray, falcon, interceptors and A-wings. Shipping worked out to $3-4 per ship and came in at a dollar off each as opposed to getting it in the store.

I just took a look at his site and it looks like he is doing a little site remodelling. He does have x-wing stuff.

If you are close enough to a US town you should be able to have things shipped to the post office there and then pick them up. I knew a guy that mailed food to himself to several post offices along the Appalachian trail so I don't think you'd need a PO Box. I'd call first to be sure they won't pull any crap or tax on you for not being a resident 1st though.

Starlight Citidal has free shipping on orders I think over 175. If you got the cash I'd recommend them and getting that much. Customer service was awesome as I made multiple changes while I waited for the shipment. Only caution is that they won't ship anything until the entire order is ready

Try supernovagames.ca. The shipping is only $7.99, and you get free shipping on orders over $125. Also they have Slave-1 and HWK-290 on sale now.

I just bought a fleet from stalit citadel, shuttle, 2 Y-wings, 2- A-wings, 3 B-wings, 2 Tie interceptors, 3 Tie bombers, everything i ordered was in stock and took less than a week to arrive at my door. I am definitely going back for more, probably going to pre-order the capitals from them. I can highly recommend them.

I would recommend www.meeplemart.com or www.thecultofthenew.com. Both offer flat shipping at around $10 and cult of the new does offer free shipping at $150.

dont do it man, this game is addictive. I have spent way too much cash on this already. My advice - convince a friend to buy it :) I mean he/she will need someone to play against right? ;)

If they were Z-Wings, would you insist on calling the game Zed-Wing?

How else would you pronounce it?

I just threw up in my mouth a little. :D

I've ordered from Starlit Citadel and Meeplemart; I've been happy with both.

A friend reminded me about 401 Games - http://www.401games.ca/. Another friend of ours has bought ships for us there and brought them out to Alberta for us because every store out here is way more expensive (must be all that oil money!). If you're ever heading into Toronto it would probably be worth checking it out.

If you are ever in toronto http://www.heavysupport.com/ is worth a shot too.

I just received my order from German Games (in Kitchener) http://www.germangames.com/

I was very happy with their communication when I asked about stock levels and when they would be restocked.

Great prices, $10-12 flat rate shipping, and well packed box.

They are my go to source now.

I have no affiliation with them.

I've bought boardgames from geek stop games.

They are located in London Ontario I'm located on the east coast so theirshipping was a lot cheaper than Starlite citadel.

The core pack on their site I believe is 32 dollars, 22 for the large ships and 11.99 for the small

A lot cheaper than the store in my location. Only reason I by from the local store is I don't have to wait

Anyway I bought city of horror from them and receivedit in a week.

That is all I purchased from them but no complaints so I recommend
