d100 List of Outer Rim Planets & Cities (Excel)

By 9littlebees, in Game Masters

I've made an Excel (v2010) table to print out on one sheet of A4 / Letter which has a list of 100 Outer Rim (or beyond) planets, showing a single feature and co-ordinates. I've deliberately gone for obscure planets which I like the sound of. As such, you will not find places like Dac, Tatooine, Nar Shadda, etc on this list.

As there was space on the side, I used Internet sources to create a list of 100 location names from fiction / random name generators to use for city / settlement names.

I've gone the Excel route to allow people to tweak to their heart's content.

If you have the Essential Atlas, you can easily substitute another planet into my tables, using the Appendix at the back (nearly 5,000 entries).

Enjoy!

I'm sure I can find a use for this. Thank you.

Thanks mate! That's mighty fine work!

One question, what's Cosmo mean? (result 32, planet Hynah).

I'm guessing it's short for "Cosmopolitan"

showing an interest in different cultures, ideas, etc.
having people from many different parts of the world
edit: either that or the administrator is a fairly oddparent

Thank you so much for the effort! :D

Correct, "cosmopolitan". All of the planet descriptions come from Wookiepedia, since these are all canon places. The entry for Hynah reads:

"Hynah was a thriving industrial world with a vast cosmopolitan population drawn from many species across the galaxy."
