It's almost here.. Cancon 2014 - Australia's biggest board gaming convention.

This three-day extravaganza of board gaming, card gaming, miniatures gaming, roleplaying, lazer tag, cosplay and more is on this long weekend from Sat 25th to Mon 27th Jan, at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC).

GREAT NEWS - There's going to be an Android: Netrunner LCG event at Cancon!

What: Android: Netrunner: The Card Game tournament

When: Sunday 26th January. 5:30pm rego, 6:00pm start

Where: Cancon Card Games Room, Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC), corner of Flemington Rd and Northbourne Ave, Mitchell ACT, Australia

Format: Standard Constructed. Players need a Runner deck and a Corporation deck. 3 rounds Swiss (75 minute rounds, 2 games per round - 1 as Runner, 1 as Corp)

Entry: $10 per person

Prizes: Game Night kit goodies, plus store credit for The Games Capital, plus plus a fun night of playing a cool-as-ice card game!

And for those who've never played Android: Netrunner before but have always wanted to try, come along on Sunday at 5:30pm for a demo, then at 6:00pm you can borrow a deck from a friendly player to jack-in and take on the corporations (or scorch those who try).

There'll also be events for all the other competitive LCGs, and for many CCGs/TCGs too.
