It's almost here.. Cancon 2014 - Australia's biggest board gaming convention.

This three-day extravaganza of board gaming, card gaming, miniatures gaming, roleplaying, lazer tag, cosplay and more is on this long weekend from Sat 25th to Mon 27th Jan, at Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC).

NEWS FLASH - Just announced - a Star Wars LCG event at Cancon!

What: Star Wars: The Card Game tournament

When: Saturday 25th January - 10:30am rego, 11:00am start

Where: Cancon Card Games Room, Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC), corner of Flemington Rd and Northbourne Ave, Mitchell ACT, Australia

Format: Standard Constructed head to head. Players need a light side deck and dark side deck. 3 rounds Swiss (70 minute rounds, 2 games per round - 1 as light side, 1 as dark side)

Entry: $10 per person

Prizes: Game Night kit goodies, plus store credit for The Games Capital, plus plus a fun day of playing an out-of-this-world card game!

And for those who've never played Star Wars: The Card Game before but have always wanted to try, come along on Saturday at 10:30am for a demo, then at 11:00am you can borrow a deck from a friendly player to join the battle for a galaxy far, far away.

There'll also be events for all the other competitive LCGs, and for many CCGs/TCGs too.
