I believe they had some issues with the medium that they were using for the tiles. I would say it is unlikely to come out.

It will probably still come out, just not in the form they originally announced.

if the edges were magnetic, i would be all for the tile kit, other than that, not going to waste my money.

if you are referring to the tiles, there were going to be 12 tiles (double-sided) in the box that were 12" x 12" in size so you could make the play area whatever size you wanted within those limits.

The tiles are deader than disco, I think. Not sure why they don't take that down.

Any game mats they do will undoubtedly be 3x3, possibly larger sizes too depending on how the Huge Ship rules work for the alternate play modes.
