The Ames and Des Moines locations of Mayhem Comics both have received Store Championships.

In order to accommodate potential travelers, we have decided to hold them both on the same weekend. As of now, the Ames Mayhem's Store Championship will be held Saturday, March 29th. Store opens at 10AM. We hope to get started by 11:30. Entry fee TBD, likely $5 or $10. Likely I will be TOing the Ames tournament.

Then on Sunday, March 30th, we will have the Des Moines Mayhem Store Championship Tournament. Details to come.

We figured anyone who wishes to travel to these tournaments would most likely want to make 1 trip out of it, so we decided to have them on back to back days. Plus we're over 2 months out, which might make planning easier. Also those dates do not conflict with any other store championships that we know of yet, so hopefully more people will be able to show.

Hey. I missed the pirate tourney this weekend unfortunately. Long story short; it's my wife's fault Hope it went well.

Good to hear that you're going to combine tourneys. I think we're working on the IC tourney as well.

I just checked my schedule and I will be South Dakota for a gaming convention that weekend. I still plan on making Omaha, Iowa City and maybe KC.

Update: apparently Mayhem only got one store champ kit, so there won't be a tourney at the Des Moines location on the 30th. There will still be the Ames Store Championship tourney on March 29th, though.

May have to make the trip from Omaha...

The Ames Store Championship will be the third leg of the Farmageddon Tour.

Swiss rounds, number of preliminary rounds will depend on attendance, cut to top 4.

75 minute rounds

100 point squads, as per the FFG Tournament rules.

Prize support will be the store championship kit, and I'll see if I can coax more from the owner.

It is on the ISU campus, so there are plenty of food options close by.

There will be a number of travelers from many states for this tourney, so it should shape up to be an epic tournament. We have maps, but please bring some if you can. Hope to see you there!

I know that a group of us Omaha guys are looking forward to this one. Hope to see a large turn out.
