Interactive galaxy map?

By PhilB2, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

A few months ago I found a link to an interactive galaxy map but have lost the link. It allowed users to click a couple planets and would calculate the distance between them. Anyone have a link to a map like that? Thanks in advance

nvm, found what i was looking for. http://www.swcombine.com/rules/?Galaxy_Map comparing it to the book map, its off quite a bit because of fan fiction stuff and the speed system doesnt match up either. oh well.

Well, if SW puts out an official one, that'd be a handy thing to have.

The only thing is, per even official sources, you don't really fly straight from one planet to another. You jump along well mapped lanes, much as you jump on a freeway to get between cities and not just take off across the terrain.

True, but a resource like this helps give a good idea about times and what not if the players decide to make thier own route. Something I'd certianly allow with a good Astrogation check.

I found Page 246 of the Core rulebook interesting and page 39 of Beyond the Rim, both pages dealing with travel in space.

Yeah the map in the CB, is really nice. I wish they'd put that up on the site to download.

I agree. FFGs stance on web-based stuff for the Star Wars line is odd to say the least, considering their other lines like WH40kRP.

I'd kill to have a high-res version of pgs. 328-329 from the Core Rulebook. I considered ripping out the pages and scanning them myself, but.. no, I don't want to do that to my book, obviously, besides, it wouldn't turn out perfect no matter what I do.

From my understanding, it's a restriction in their license. I'm sure someone, at some point, will make a good scan of the pages however. Such is the internet.

It's just an odd restriction, because obviously they can publish some things, but not others.

Hopefully they're trying to and hopefully they'll be able to re-negotiate those terms.

The problem is that in order to get a really good scan of those pages, you *are* going to have to cut them out. I don't really see any other way, unless you've got some kind of really.. odd scanner.

There's all sorts of odd things out there. My company sells medicine for foldable dogs or cats. :o

Some people juggle geese.
