Multiple Obligations and Obligation Value

By Talley Darkstar, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So when last my group played, there were 4 players, so starting off with 10 Obligation each, they then each chose 2 Obligations, so I'm assuming they could split the 10 Obligation between the two in whatever manner they want? Or is it multiple Obligations and 1 Obligation Value?

I'm trying to write up the chart for the next campaign but not sure how the rules are supposed to work in this case.

Jake Brimstar, Jedrek Brimstar, Seeguar, and Kerrek, 4 players 10 starting Obligation Value each.

Each player decided to take 2 Obligations. Bounty/Addiction, Bounty/Betrayal, Bounty/Criminal and Bounty/Criminal.

Through the various ways to increase money or experience points, they each added an additional 10 Obligation Value to their characters.

Would it be:

Jake - 10 Bounty/10 Addiction or would it be 20 Bounty/Addiction?

Jedrek - 10 Bounty/10 Betrayal

Seeguar - 10 Bounty/10 Criminal

Kerrek - 10 Bounty/10 Criminal

Jake - Bounty 1-10

Jake - Addiction 11-20

Jedrek - Bounty 21-30

Jedrek - Betrayal - 31-40

Or

Jake - Bounty/Addiction 1-10

Jedrek - Bounty/Betrayal 11-20

I'm AFB, and I could be wrong, but this is how I remember it being.

With four players each starts with 10 obligation each. What that obligation is should be up to each player. If they want to split that into 5 & 5 or keep it 10 that's each persons perogotive. Now, if anyone wants to get more XP or credits they can take on extra obligation. That extra obligation can be the same as their original obligation(s) or a different one. Theoretically, you could have a character starting with four different 5 obligations.

"Jake - Bounty 1-10

Jake - Addiction 11-20

Jedrek - Bounty 21-30

Jedrek - Betrayal - 31-40"

This one. And the actual numerical amount can be split up however you and your players see fit.

Alright, cool. Thanks Ahrimon and Revan.
