Why are the Arkham forums so dead?

By Guest, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

It seems like I'm the only one active on these forums... I refresh every 5 minuts but nothing. In the past 2-3 hours the only posts made on these forums were by me... what's up with that?

Easter, time (at least on the North America side of the Atlantic), the tendency to see the front page spammed full of utterly useless, pointess "Great Debate" threads, take your pick.

Take a good look around and realize:

None of the game forums on this side do have a new post every 5 minutes. I personally don't have the time to check the forums that often during the semester...

Therefore, I wouldn't call this forum dead at all. I suppose most of the people here just don't write that much if they got nothing to say.........

...

Seems pretty alive to me, though I only check once or twice a day. If you need a more active forum, try boardgamegeek.com . It's not just AH, obviously, but there's almost always someone around to post and reply. Plus their Chit Chat and RSP forums are a great time, to put it lightly.

Or just check these forums less, hehe. There's usually enough new material to warrant spending 10-20 minutes here if you only check once a day.

Because the average person only checks the boards twice a day, and only a handful of people actually care about Custom Creations.

That is not dead which can electronically lie...

...and I just don't have the time to post every few minutes. Maybe during my next vacation.

I am oing with "time" and the "utterly useless spam" on the front page.

If I didn't know who posted this question I'd answer:

Are you nuts?! This forum extremely active, especially considering it's only about a single boardgame. In fact it's a bit too active for my taste, which is why I considered no longer visiting. It simply takes me too long to read all the new posts.

I typically check once or twice a day, but over the holidays I had better things to do.
