Siege

By JanChouart, in Warhammer: Diskwars

Hi.

I got a question about the "siege" machine.

What is the range of the attack?

A disk with Siege has unlimited range but still has to observe LOS. If disk wi Siege range makes a ranged attack against a disk within long range (including the shorter ranges), this attack is like any other ranged attack. If this disk with Siege makes a ranged attack against a disk farther than long range, this ranged attack only hits on a Critical Hit. At Siege range, regular hits are ignored.

Siege range is listed on pg.5 of the rulebook.

Its in the sidebox at the top.

Siege range is any range beyond long on the range ruler.

Only critical hits count when attacking at siege range,

but all hits count if you are using the unit with Siege at the lesser ranges-

short,medium,or long.

Or just what Bright Wizard, the quick typist, posted while I was pecking on this tiny tablet keyboard.

Do scatter results that when re-rolled result in a regular hit count at siege range?

Still only hits on a critical hit. Scatter says to resolve the die against the nearest disk (ignore further scatter). It still is an attack from Siege Range therefore regular hits get ignored.

It's also worth noting that while siege range is infinite, the disk still needs LoS.
